Converting option file for US release of WE 8

Hows it going. Its a bit early but WE 8 finally comes stateside tommorow Ive found a few really good option files already. My question is: Has a program already been released to convert an option file of WE8 (J) or PES 4 to the US version of WE 8, or is there some place I can find on how to convert it. THanks in advance.

Yeah, I would also like to know. Is it a matter of just changing the file names, or how would one go about converting the option file?

My understanding is that the file contains a header which dictates what version of the game the file is for as well as the display icons for the ps2... ntsc vs. pal. still havent been able to get a definitive answer from anyone who seems to know about this stuff, but i will keep the forum updated.

It Works!!!

I got the PESFan option file to work for WE8I. Here's how I did it. First, copy your WE8I option file to your computer. Then open the PES4 option file (haven't tried it with WE8 option file, yet) with EditPES4. Choose the option to SAVE TO (this is important), and select the WE8I option file as what you want to save to. Finally, put the newly formed WE8I option file onto your memory card and load it up. It works!!!

Is this for XBOX or PS2? If its for xbox, could you please upload the file somewhere so we all can share? Thanks man! By the way the majority would be transferring with action replay.

Um, this was for ps2. I'll post the X-Port and Maxdrive files in the downloads section as soon as I get them off my memory card.

Good on you, Perfect Form! Works a treat. Which PESFan file did you use? I v.2 withthe shop unlocked and all the team logos and flags were completely off... man utd were everton, newcastle was liverpool... complete mayhem.

is there a file out there that sets up the ML to be the EPL? I dont want to be in the 1st division with bordeaux, PSV and Everton or whatever its set up as on the default...

Man, I don't have enough headroom to attach these files.
I think I used the PESFan v2 file, and it worked fine. As for the EPL, you should unlock the option to create your own ML, then you can choose the teams.

Yeah, just discovered that. Funny about the pesfan file... ah well, ill soon make my own with updated transfers and data anway. I couldnt start playing with all the fake names and clubs. great discovery and thanks again!

Hey perfect form,
It put such a smile on myu face when I finally saw a solution to this. Ive been trying desperately for 48 hours now to get a proper option file, and i finally downloaded that editpes4 thing and donwloaded the pesfan file, but when I did the thing with my sharkport that you suggested, its not working. When I try to save as, it wont even display my we8 file, even though its in the folder im looking in...whats wrong?

fixed it, was using old "sharkport" software, just needed to download the new program for x-port instead. now xps file, thanks!

If you are using the sharkport, change the name of the file from sps to xps first. I think that should work. Let me know if you are still having problems.

not going.....anyone know of an pes4 editor that works with max drive files and not just x-port? just bought a new max drive, because my outdated sharkport just isnt cutting it...

I'm sorry i'm bringing up an old thread but through a search I found this very helpful. I am new to this, so please bear with me. I am purchasing an X-port and want to know how you load an option file from the ps2 to your pc and then back? Thanks.
