Why every fucking free kick and a corner kick is a goal in top player ?! this is really stupid and pissing me off :realmad: any shitty player in this game can shoot like ronaldo or head like vidic :crymore:. Also, did anyone try ML on top player with pes created players ? its really fursturating and you know why ? because of the free kick and a corner kick cheating :angry:. I love the challenge and the realisticity but this is really stupid and not realistic. Is there any patch to solve this problem ? your seggustions and advices are also welcome. Thank you in advance

Yep we know mate it's been mentioned many a time, it's called scripting and it's been in PES for ages. There is a patch that has been made that cuts a lot of this out

the people at konami just have to change their understanding of what difficulty is in terms of a football game. they think making the AI do everything better than you with increased stats = realistically more difficult football. but obviously that is wrong.. they need to add individual player AI and team-based AI so that lower-league teams can truly play poorly compared to better teams, and general AI difficulty levels need to be removed completely. Want an easier game? Play in a crap league. Want to play "top player?" Play in the premier league with a poor team. simple as that.

Yep, concede a dodgy free kick around your box means there is a goal on the way. I've even tried putting a man on the post. Sometimes he stops it, but they find another way to score straight after.
I find that if you win the ball near the opponents box, and would go clean through on goal, the ref woill give a free kick against you.
I want the computer teams to be good!! Not to be shit all game, with my players having 85 shots on target, 15 shots against the bar, and the computer having 2 shots on target. The first being saved by the keeper, which he subsiquently palmed straight to the AI player for the 2nd shot which goes in.
I never feel like i'm being bettered by the AI, just feel like I'm fighting against an already decided result.

Whenever I concede a free kick on the edge of the box, I take control of my keeper. They usually try and curl it over the wall, so just take control and save it. Only once has the AI put it in the open corner that I've jumped from.

The AI in this game certainly uses some shitty tactics, with regards to the free kick I haven't conceded many so far, If I put someone on the post the AI realises this and usually misses, like the above poster mentioned controlling your keeper can help. I am finding however the more I play the game the less the cheap AI tactics are effective, the new defensive system in terms of timing tackles is more precise than I first thought. Try putting a player near the post, just don't bump into it like a tit like a I do sometimes, this forces the AI to try a less effective free kick such as chipping the ball into the box.

Here's what I do whenever the opponent gets a free kick close enough to my goal:
I take control of any of my CB, place him near the goal (the goalkeeper covers one side, this one covers the other). Most of the time I managed to head the ball away from the goal (usually resulted in a corner but if I got lucky, my other defender gets the ball and I am able to launch quick counters). Give it a try...

I know the AI have some scripting going on from time to time, I was extremely frustrated the first season of ML, barely avoided relegation with my created notts county side, but when you learn the different techniques of defence, backing off, dont rush it, a man on the post, a free player in the box on corners, timing your tackles, tactical fouls, no-bullshit-defending etc, it ain't so hard to minimize goals against you. I'm now at the end of my second season with only 2 new players and i'm ranked 3 in the premier league.
