Have U ever played against a guy who waits for U to pick a team and then picks a team far superior? The best way would be to have PES5 have some kind of confirmation after both players have picked teams?
Or am I wwrong?

Its their choice what side they use, if you select a second rated side before they've selected anything you're making a foolish risk.

Why don't you ask them if they want to use club sides/nationals, or lesser sides, before they join your match room online.
