I just beat Brazil 6-0 using Argentina in Top Player. I think it's the first time I play against them and get more than a 2 goal advantage, and one of the few that they scored none against me.
The first 20 minutes were hard, standard game against Brazil. Then, I don't know what happened, but the AI behaviour just became retarded. The defenders opened up to my strikers, they were so sluggish I could D-pad my way through them with practically all midfielders. The keeper positioned himself terribly, coming out to meet the striker in a curved line rather than a straight one, which left one of his sides wide open (I scored 3 in this fashion). I had about 5 chances in which there was only Saviola against the keeper, and 1 or 2 defenders practically watching the play after I had beat them. It felt like I was playing in the easiest difficulty setting (I'm sure I wasn't though, as I had played a couple of games before that one).
Besides that, Lucho González, who's not the greatest shooter, scored a goal after turning on the ball in a very difficult angle, and after getting the ball via some very suspicious bouncings. That's another thing, actually --the ball always bounced to where my players were. Imagine this: from the 20th minute (1st half) onwards, Brazil only had 2 shots on goal, and my defenders could beat Kaká every time. They just couldn't set up a decent attack anymore. I, on the other hand, was playing with a 5-4-1 formation, with 5 defenders, two DMCs, two wingers just after midfield and 1 lone striker, and was able to walk through their defence and midfield. In fact, I scored 2 goals with a 4-2-2 formation and then 4 more goals with the 5-4-1 and the team mentality set all the way to defensive.
It's not that I usually suck, but this was waaay to easy. I've never experienced anything like this in the demo before, and I can't recall another game of PES in which the AI keeper and defenders behaved so bizarrely. I was particularly puzzled by the keeper and his strange way of coming out, reminiscent of prehistoric FIFA games. Really weird.
I guess it could just be an isolated, odd, one-time event, but is it? Any of you had a similar experience?
