Crowds ...

Something that I've always been dissapointed with, is how emotionless the crowds are. PES 4 is great compared to Fifa 06 ...

Yeah! ... anyway ...

But still, I don't feel that buzz of excitement like I would in a pub, or watching MOTD, or at a footie game ... It seems like standard ... Crowd normal when it's normal play, slightly excited when you attack and cheer when you score ... fair enough, but no passion! Is this me, or a zone for improvement? Do people actually care, I suppose I should ask, but it would definately give me a buzz to help the realism. It's that and commentary I'd like improved.

Well, yes, it would be nice if they would improve on that. But it isn't a priority to me, but a nice feature though. As long as they don't neglect the gameplay section of the game, which is the main reason I prefer PES over fifa (which is almost all about graphics and trying to look good)

right as rain there mate, the gameplay is why I too play PES ... but they have such a good formula, they must only make minor tweaks to it, so what do they do in that year lol?

Atmosphere helps, but yeah, gameplay is priority.

yea but i'm gettin a bit tired of the gameplay over everything else argument. there needs to be more ambition in terms of the ENTIRE game, atmosphere, crowds, commentary etc included. because these features will further enhance the gameplay. we all know how creating atmosphere in games builds the entire experience and pro just isn't doing that at the moment, which i feel is a real shame

It would be nice to have better atmosphere at matches from the crowd but i hear they have improved on this in PES 5 so here's hoping

ooooh really!! That's got me interested, I watched some video of some partially snow-covered matches and behind the music dubbed in, the commentary and crowd did seem more ... real? maybe that was just me ...?

You do get a nice round of applause on PES5 when you give the ball back after the comp has put it out due to a player injury. Nice touch but still room for improvement

i think for the big derby matches the atmosphere could be more hostile,it is an important aspect of the game for me because it adds more excitement and realism.

I dont understand why in PES5 aswell the crowds are not even in the game.. (in exhibition matches that is).. during cup matches, you can see them.. but why not in the exhibition? or is it really like that?

yeah nothing better than when ur playing in a hostile match the crowd intimidate you, singing official club songs.

think the spanish crowds woooossshhh should be added!!

Quite right all tese little features make a good atmosphere which makes u enjoy the game more, but pro just isn't doing that at the mo', but if we wait i am sure konami will pull through and give it us.

the crowds on PES arent very good they should be 3d all the way through a game not just when you score a goal they should sing the clubs real songs and the should jeer and cheer your team on.They should at least cause alittle bit bother (like the italians )

yea thats what i've heard. if you saw that snowy pitch compilation vid it showed that during the game the crowd aren't there. just empty seats, untill a player scores or a cut scene, replay etc and then the seats are full!!!!
