i used the transfer kit and it worked in 5 minutes.

use the xport 360 software, not the software that comes with the transfer kit.

I used the xplorer 360 and xport 360 but neither recognise the memory unit, only the xchange 360 (provided) does.

Hi guys , thanks for the option file man.

I used a datel transfer kit (usb to xbox 360 mem card) and a 64 mb mem card ,
First i added the pes 2009 edit file from my 360 to the mem card then i installed xport 360 v1.11,

then i plugged the usb cable with 64mb mem card to my laptop and when the driver pop up box came up i selected to use the drivers from program files/datel/xport 360 ,

then i used xport 360 to make a back up image 360_HDD_Image.bin ,

then i used xplorer360v0.9b2 (Xplorer360.beta6 would not load) and i loaded up the 360_HDD_Image.bin, then i had to insert all 125 files from the D&B Elite Option File (Xbox 360) one by one lol (only way i could work out to do it) to partition 1 - content - e000 somthing - 4b somthing - 00000001 ,

then i closed xplorer360v0.9b2 and opened up xport 360 and loaded the new 360_HDD_Image.bin onto the 64mb mem card

Plugged it into my 360 and transfered to the hd and loaded up pes and changed a team name and it worked great.

Big Thankyou to D_B_Elite and daymos

Mate, thanks for this I'll try it when I get home. Just a few questions before you disappear.

1) You didnt use the xchange 360 (provided) but xport 360 drivers?
2) "then i used xport 360 to make a back up image 360_HDD_Image.bin"
can you elaborate on that further, if it's possible?
3) So you would recommend against using BETA 6 Xplorer360 and use
v0.9b2 instead?

Thanks in advance.

hi
1, nope i just installed xport 360 v1.11 , then when you plug the cable in with mem card a pop up comes up for drivers , just select the manual option and go to program files /datel /xport 360 and select that folder and then it should load the drivers from there (i think i had to do that a couple of times as the pop up came up again so i just selected them again)

2. in xport 360 you select the 64mb mem card , then click hdd/mc at the top and click "back up to image" and you should get a 360_HDD_Image.bin file at around 60-64 mbs in my documents / x360

then just open this with xplorer360v0.9b2 and locate the folder with the file "PES2009_EDIT01.bin" (just click threw the folders on partition 1 until you come to it), then right click on the part where the PES2009_EDIT01.bin file is and add all the 125 files from the D&B Elite Option File (Xbox 360) folder dowloaded from here (first page link) (this took me a while as i did them one by one)
then close xplorer360v0.9b2 , and open up xport 360 v1.11 and open up the new edited 360_HDD_Image.bin and select hdd/mc and "restore from image" and select the mem card and then transfer it to your 360 and you should be in business mate.

3. i have the Xplorer360.beta6 also but when i click it i get an error , so i searched and found xplorer360v0.9b2 and this one works (fook knows why mate).

Mate, using your instructions I have come closest to getting a result so far. I did exactly what you said in the initial post.

The thing is xport360 still doesnt recognise the 64mb MU as I had trouble installing their drivers, becuase it kept telling me to use the disk provided and tis the only way i could install the drivers by using the xchange 360 CD.

Anyway, I opened xport there after and my mem card didnt show but I backed up that .bin image like you said. went to xplorer 360 and it did in fact read the edit file on my mem card (fuck knows how) anyway i dropped all Daymos' files closed explorer360.

went to xport 360 and then nothing. But the files were copied in partition 1 etc etc etc as you said with no probs.

pluged in MU to my 360 loaded data from MU changed a name but nothing.

Do you know where im going wrong.

BUT AS I SAID BEFORE MATE, BIG THUMBS UP TO YOU AS I AM GETTING CLOSE AS A RESULT OF YOUR POST.

Nice..

Keep the feedback and links coming ..

Im hoping to release a v2 within a few days or so..

Then the chant pack a week after..

Then V3 will be made most prob within 8 weeks with all the extra teams etc...

Teams around the worls sounds much better then to dedicate everything to just 1 league...

again votes count as Obama would tell you..

If there are more sites that convert players stats into pro evo language then it means theres more chance ill do it..

also if there are easy convertors with appearance then that will also sway me to keep working..

(there are going to be loads of generic looking people in these teams with just hair styles to differeciate.. )

Superb, what will V2 consist of? Then what are the plans for V3?

I'd be happy with the option file as it is with the missing champions league teams added as I've tried doing the emblems myself but without a camera it's impossible!

I wanted to release 2 versions..

one with stats edited and one without..

I know what you mean about walcott.. it takes the piss cos his speed is much more..

Also Adebayer scored so much last year and his stats dont reflect that.. they made sure they kissed Ronaldo's ass good and proper tho..

A solution to the two versions problem would be a list of all non default stats and formations as in the editor you can press one button to undo the changes.

Fcuk me im not the only 1 then. Mate ive been fryin my brain 4 about 8 hrs 2day doin this shit + the other 2 yesterday. Finally i cracked it , Daymos ur a legend mate i can finally enjoy pro properly many thanks. Right mate the basic problem most of us made is installing these stinking drivers from the disc it came with. After many hrs searching i found this post its a bit deep but bare with it. I suggest u read part 5 as this was a big help 4 me getting rid of those stupid drivers. I really hope this helps u mate i know what ur goin thru trust me.

Part 1: What you need

A Datel Transfer Kit (available from http://www.codejunkies.com/)

Xplorer360 (available from http://www.360gamesaves.com/)

Part 2: Installing the Transfer Kit

Note: As of Beta 5 you can just install the Datel drivers. So just download the latest version of Xplorer 360. This will make life a lot easier for all you guys. Then continue onto the second post in this thread. Ummm actually their seems to be a few issues so still follow the instructions below.

Instructions for versions prior to Beta5. (And for the moment present versions. Found issues with Datel drivers.)

NOTE: Do not install the drivers that come with the transfer kit!

1) Plug in the Datel Transfer Kit and insert your memory card.

2) Click cancel when it asks you to install the new hardware. (This will happen twice.)

3) Right click on 'My Computer' and select properties. Now click on the 'Hardware' tab. You should see the following screen:

4) Now select 'Device Manager', scroll down to 'Other devices' and click on the + symbol beside it:

5) Right click on 'Memory Unit' (if you don't see this check Part 5) and select 'Update Driver...'. If asked whether you want to connect to Windows Update select 'No, not this time' and then click 'Next'. On the next screen select 'Install from a list or specific location (Advanced)':

6) On the next screen select 'Don't search I will choose the driver to install.' This should launch the hardware update wizard. Scroll down to 'Universal Serial Bus Controllers' which appears near the bottom of the list:

7) On the next screen check that 'USB Mass Storage Device' is highlighted and select 'Next'. If a 'Update Driver Warning' appears select 'Yes':

8) Windows will now install the driver. Once this is complete the new hardware wizard will appear again. Click cancel when it does. If you now scroll back up to 'Other devices' you will notice that 'Memory Unit' has been removed and 'MSFT Memory Unit USB Device' has appeared in it's place:

9) Now similar to before right click on 'MSFT Memory Unit USB Device'. If asked whether you want to use Windows Update again select 'No, not this time' then on the next screen select 'Install from a list or specific location (Advanced). Then after clicking 'Next' select 'Don't search. I will choose the driver to install.' You should now be back at the 'Hardware Update Wizard'. Near the top of the list should be the hardware type 'Disk drives', select this option and click 'Next':

10) Check '(Standard Disk Drives)' is highlighted under manufacturer and 'Disc Drive' under model and then click 'Next'. If you get the 'Update Driver Warning' select 'yes':

11) You can then click finish and close 'Device Manager'. Your memory card reader is now installed.

Part 3: Transferring Data

NOTE1: You will now have a new 'Removable Disk' drive shown under 'My Computer'; DO NOT select or format this drive.

NOTE2: You will now want to run Xplorer360. If you have not already done so you can download this tool by visiting http://www.360gamesaves.com, selecting 'Tools' under main menu and then 'Xplorer360'. You then need to click on the 'Xplorer360 Beta 4' that is at the top of the page (or later version). This should bring up the download interface. If a yellow bar appears at the top of your screen right click on it and select the allow download option.

NOTE3: You will now need to install (if you don't have one) a archive program that can handle the '.RAR' format. You can find WinRAR at http://www.rarlab.com/. It will be a trial but will have full functionality. Note that this format is also often used for compressing saves that are uploaded to the website. Double click on the downloaded file and drag Xplorer360 to wherever you want it.

NOTE4: Xplorer360 does not need to install. It will run from directly where you place the '.exe'. For this reason I decided it was easiest to place it on my desktop.

NOTE5: To make life easier make sure that you have at least one item saved on your memory card with your profile. If there is no important data on the memory card it is worth formatting the card first before saving the data to it. This makes it easier to find the data you are using or if inserting a save gives you the required base folder.

NOTE6: Partition 0 holds a cache where as Partition 1 holds the saves and any games stored on the memory card.

NOTE7: If the memory card contains important data you can fully back it up by selecting 'Drive' and then 'Backup Image'.

1) Plug in 'Transfer Kit' and 'Memory Card' and load 'Xplorer360'. Select 'Drive', 'Open' and then 'Harddrive or Memcard...':

2) You will now see the following items:

Part 3A: Extracting Data (Backing Up Saves):

1) Follow stages 1 & 2 in Part 3 above. Double click on 'Partition 1' to show the files stored on that partition:

2) Name.txt holds the name of the memory card. We however want to now click on the + symbol by 'Content'. I have also expanded out the other folders under 'Content' to show the structure of the data on 'Partition 1' of the memory card. The first folder under 'Content' is the 'Profile I.D.' and the folders under this are 'Game I.D.s'. In this case the top one '584107DB' is the I.D. for Outpost Kaloki X and the lower one '425307D1' is Oblivions. There is always another file under the game I.D. containing the actual saves. As in both cases here this is normally named '00000001':

3) To make restoring any saves that we extract easier at a later date it is best to extract it from the Game I.D. level. To do this you right click on the game I.D. that you want to make a backup of the save for and select 'Extract...':

4) You then have to select where you wish to save the files that you are extracting. In my case I normally dump them on the desktop. Once you have selected a place a progress bar will show you how far Xplorer360 has progressed through the extraction process.

5) Now you can compress the save using WinRAR and either file it away (remember to give it a sensible file name) or upload it to http://360gamesaves.com. Be careful to select the right game if you upload it so other people can find your save easily.

Part 3B: Importing Data (Adding Saves):

1) Follow stages 1 & 2 in Part 3 above. Now open 'Partition 1', 'Content' and your 'Profile I.D.' number:

2) Now open up the folder where you have downloaded the save to or where the save is stored. If the save is stored in a '.RAR' file extract it out of the archive including any directory structure. Check that the save is of the form, 'Game I.D.', 'Folder' (usually 00000001) and then the save. If it is not in this for check this list of Game I.D.s (http://360gamesaves.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=148) and create a folder with the name of the required Game I.D. NOTE: The save will not work unless it is stored on the memory card in this format!

3) Back in Xplorer360 right click on the 'Profile I.D.' and selected 'Insert Folder...'. Browse through to the 'Game I.D.' folder that you wish to insert and click 'OK'. Xplorer360 will now inject the folder structure and the save(s) under your 'Profile I.D.':

4) Now remove the 'Memory Card' and insert it in to your console. Put in the game, select memory device and you should be able to load the save you just added.

Part 4: Other Information

Some NTSC saves will work on PAL consoles and vice versa. Try the save in any case you might be surprised.

Most arcade games don't have separate save files. Of those that do Zuma and Bejewelled 2's save are locked to a console. Only Outpost Kaloki X's work on other machines.

Some of the main games also have locked saves. These include Perfect Dark: Zero and Dead or Alive.

Some but not all games allow you to get achievements from save games. These include Project Gotham Racing and Kameo.

Check out http://360gamesaves.com/forum/ for more specific game related information and if you need help. If you query is achievement related PLEASE use the achievement section of the forum which can be found here http://360gamesaves.com/forum/index.php?showforum=7.

Part 5: Common Problems

If you have already installed the datel pack or have X360 MU USBIO appearing under 'Device Manager' follow the following instructions to remove the datel drivers. (Thanks to Mobian for explaining how it is done.)

Go to my computer and bring up the search window (or press Ctrl+F whilst on C drive - this will bring up a search bar on the left of your present window).

On this window select 'All files and folders' and then select 'A word or phrase in the file'. Type 'X360 MU USBIO - Device 1' into the box and then click search.

This should find one of two .inf files. (It should be located in the C:\Windows\inf directory.) This folder should be of the file name structure 'oemxx.inf', where xx is a number. (Make a note of this number.)

Right click on the file found by the search and select 'Open containing folder'. This should take you to the files position.

Now click the consecitive file in the chain it shoudl open in notepad. (If it doesn't right click and select 'Open with' then choose notepad.) Check that somewhere in this file it mentions Datel and Xbox.

Now you want to delete 4 files. These are the .inf file that you found by searching. Its corresponding .PNF file and the consecutive .inf & .PNF files (the .inf you opened in notepad and found Datel and Xbox in and its corresponding .PNF file.). For Mobian the files numbers were 44 and 45, so the filenames were "oem44.inf", "oem45.inf", "oem44.PNF", and "oem45.PNF".

You should now be able to follow the instructions given in this tutorial on how to install the drivers. (From Part 2 instruction 5.) Alternatively follow Mobian's instructions:

QUOTE(mobian @ Jun 25 2006, 09:28 PM)
Once you've deleted those four files, go to the Device Manager. Under "USBIO Controlled Devices", right-click "Memory Unit" and choose "Scan for hardware changes". If I remember right, the Hardware Update wizard should come up. Click "Install from a list or specific location", and click Next. Then, click "Search for the best driver in these locations", Uncheck "Search removable media", and check "Include this location in the search". Now you need to point the wizard to the inf files downloaded from HERE, so make sure you have them, preferably on your desktop (decompressed but in a folder of their own, on the desktop). On the Hardware Update wizard, click Browse, find the folder with those inf files I just mentioned, and highlight it. Then click OK, then click Next. It'll search that folder you just pointed it to, notice the inf files, and install what they point to. On the Device Manager, the Memory Unit should now appear as "Xbox360 Memory Unit Security Device" under "Universal Serial Bus Controllers". Right-click it and choose "Update driver" again. Now, go to the first page of the thread you're reading this from, and follow the the tutorial, STARTING AT THE FIRST STEP THAT INVOLVES THE HARDWARE UPDATE WIZARD. Also, on the first step that mentions the "MSFT Memory Unit USB Device", the Hardware Update wizard should come up on its own, rather than having to find "MSFT Memory Unit USB Device" and click Update Driver. Once finished with that tutorial, Xplorer360 should work, and you're done!

Mate, using your instructions I have come closest to getting a result so far. I did exactly what you said in the initial post.

The thing is xport360 still doesnt recognise the 64mb MU as I had trouble installing their drivers, becuase it kept telling me to use the disk provided and tis the only way i could install the drivers by using the xchange 360 CD.

im guessing its the xchange 360 disc drivers causing the problem, try it another computer if you can , this time using the xport drivers and not the disc

xbox update

has anyone tried to play pes 2009 from HDD with the new update yet?
does it still work out with daymos OF?
and will there be any changes for transfering the OF via Xport because of the new firmware?
don't want to waste my HDD with that..

thx

Thanks to Daymos, alessiocerci and mrmilla's contributions I finally got the OF.

The final nail was Daymos' suggestion of using the drivers provided by XPLODER 360. People having problems where XPORT/XPLORER software is not recognising the MEMORY UNIT, should install XPLODER instead.

After that it was a breeze. I opened up XPORT 360. opened the contents of PES 2009 from the memory card and dropped the files created by Daymos and Co.

Great files, cant wait for V2.

Again thanks to the above mentioned people. If anyone requires more indepth guide on how I transfered the files give me a shout.

Thanks Daymos...

I never found an answer to the riddle of Xport /Vista and 60GB HDD, but last week my mate brought over his XP laptop - joy of joys it worked first time.

I did do some accidental data deleting... lost my BAL face which meant next time I played I ran out with a blank head with NO DATA written across it in white text - very fetching!

So after week of over late nights (and sleepy days at work...) I'm finally posting a thankyou - and looking forward to the next update.

One little pointer - I obviously understand an Arsenal man not wanting to spend too much time on the fine detail of the Spurs kit :D - but I removed the emblem and then pasted it in with the sponsor/logo data which allowed me to then delete the 'Tottenham Hotspur' part which isn't on the shirts...

I'm actually a pretty obsessive editer - but I just don't have the time (or the Picture in Picture TV!) to get so much done so its great to have a good base to start from. Thanks again...

Hey guys, anyone about that could assist me with this? Ive tried Xplorer 360 v 1.11 but no joy with that either, doesnt even recognize the USB and Mem Unit, comes up with FATX error!! No partitions are coming up at all, although the XPORT 360 does recognize i have a 512mb card, but when i double click it, no other partitions drop down!! I have been re adding the 'edit data' from PES 2009 onto my mem card from dashboard, but still nothing is appearing wen i open xport!!!! Would really like a blast on PES when ive got it edited, cant bear to play it without Daymos update...
