I just wonder proffessional WE player use D-pad or Left Thumb Stick to play the game?

As for myself, I use thumb stick, but I heard a lot people said it gives you more control when you use D-pad. I am planning to switch to D-pad and I really want to which style does most WE player use. :)

Oh by the way, please give the reason why you perfer one way than the other. Thanks!

i prefer to use the d-pad just because when you do turns the analog stick isnt as precise....what i mean by this i cant really direct the player to go where i want because sometimes it can slip into another direction...i just dont find it as accurate...this goes for shot taking as well

i prefer the d-pad. the thing is, on the d-pad, you have 8 directions, while on the analogue you have something like 32 directions. so it becomes nerve-wrecking, especially when it comes to shooting

Most of the top players I know use the D-pad. I've been using the analogue stick for a few months now and prefer it because it causes less soreness in my thumb :D
It feels like passes go where you want them to more often using analogue but maybe I'm wrong.

Analog defo, anyone who uses d-pad is using it cos they living in the stone ages and find it hard to use the analog ;) but at the end of the day its whatever u most comftable with, using the d-pad feels restricted.

I find the anlogue too loose and it seems like I'm way more prone to making mistakes using it so I stick with the trusty old d-pad.

exactly. i get really pissed off especially when shooting. once i used it, and i missed all the shots and i was all by myself! when i started using the d-pad again, i scored most of the shots. so i just stuck to the d-pad

The beautiful game
Using the Left Thumb Stick to control the player is good for taking a shot more accuracy although the d-pad is good for tackling, long range passing..

i use the d-pad

Definitely the D-Pad, blatontly because its so much more accurate and precise whereas when your using the Analog you cant get the aim exact.

With the analogue you can do different things to affect the swing and dip of the ball which i don't think you can do with the D-pad

I also find saving pens much easier with the analogue, I'm a master of it now :)

Nice I might try that, thought I am still able to get quite alot of curl on the ball, especially free kicks..

Well like pressing forward (up) when taking freekicks with the analogue you can do the bobby carlos type freekicks, which I don't think you can do with the D-pad, and I also think it does give more curl

Silly grasshopper, you have much to learn. This is a technique that cannot be taught, you either have the knowledge inside of you or you do not - now be gone ;)

p.s. I'm not master of the analogue, you should see me try and use it in open play, not pretty

Actually, when I play WE. I use thumb stick more often. But during corners, free kicks, penalty, taking a header, I will switch to D-pad. Basically, I only use thumb stick to dribble and do regular pass/shoot.
For myself, I can score free kick a lot more accurate by using d-pad.

I think that the main thing you need to be good at in PES is dribbling, passing and shooting, and all of those aspects of the game are made so much easier with the accuracy of the D-Pad...
