I think his frequent omission from Sunderland sides, whatever level, is the fact that he said he wanted to join Manchester United. Once he'd said that, they didn't play him just to spite him!

Rant, Bellion is not a winger, he has played winger for Manchester U and Sunderland but he is solely a striker, teams just prefer to play him on the wing due to his pace. Also about 3-4 of the games he has played for United, he came on to replace either Forlan or started instead of Van nistelrooy, showing that Sir Alex knows he is a striker. Nice work though.
