Defending a mare again?

is defending a mare again or is it just me.anyone any tips or ideas on this.keep getting mauled online plus i cant shoot for shit anyway.still love the game tho vast improvement on last years

yep defending is a nightmare....pressing X to tackle simploy makes you player run past the dribbler.....just need some practice...

Online is reallly smooth to be honest...so enjoying pes alot

online is good but unfortunately we still have the glory hunters who jsut want to go man utd or barcelona for messi,ronaldo etoo etc etc to just run up the wing and score, im not a bad loser but you have to ask what the gobblers who do this actually get out of playing online, they are just not good enough to win when the teams are even so they resort to that!!:realmad:

It's all about your tactics, don't trust default pre-sets. Move your CB's/SB's to the right place, use defense/attack arrows, and mess with strategies to find how to avoid or at least defend yourself against wing-play.

ive found defender to be ok just make sure u dont call another player towards the ball as they just slide in without u telling them 2 giving away pens and free kicks.

defending online is a mess because the online gameplay is a mess.
basically online the players feel unreponsive so when you go to tackle they dont lol, also when you do tackle they then proceed to just stand ther
the speed of the game is much slower online than it is offline
but all in all the games crap, its a total arcadey mess

yes its also not perfect and has its flaws, but it has so much more to it and the online is class :w00t

For once i'm pretty good at defending in PES. Try to use the stand tackle button as much as possible, using sprint can help here as well. And learn to time your slide tackles and it will become a useful asset

defending this year is awesome. i dont know about online but offline, i have so much control over my defenders, my keeper is alway useful.. its just overall amazing how much control i have. 95% of goals i concede will be because of an error i have made (whether its trying to close down a striker using a CB or trying to close down using a fullback when i should have maintained width).

i like the fact that R1+x/square is no longer amazing because it ruined past PES games.. made defending too easy.

i agree with you on the offline play
i think its the online alot of people are on about including me
summets not right thers unresponsiveness and bad collision detection
maybe a bug?
