Defending and my ### keeper

Can someone tell me why the defending is so damn hard in the next gen PES2008?
It simply doesn't make any sense! When I score 5 goals I get 4 against. Any tips for me (and the many others having this problem)???

And the goalkeeper, why can't he grab a ball instead of bouncing it to a opposing attacker (so you have a goal against)? I always have this annoying problem, always goals against while you are playing like a dream.

Hope this will be gone in the next PES!

well as u are saying it, its not ur fault, like konami programmed into the game wat they see from most defenders and goalkeepers that season, so unless u are gud, u jst have to enjoy the game, its like simulation, jst get really gud defenders like heitinga in ur master league and get a gud keeper too. thats all i can say

It's harder, but also more realistic. In previous game you could just chase players around and you'd end up with the ball.

If you rush/chase you create space for your opponent, think of how real teams play. It has A LOT to do with positioning, keep them from attacking by positioning yourself so they have few to pass to, atleast up front. Lay back and be patient and they'll eventually make a mistake.

Remember, you trying to get the ball with one or more players usually means that one of their players will be left unmarked.

And what about the keepers, it doesn't matter who's my keeper the aal bounce balls before the opposites feet! Even vd Sar does it!

All goalkeepers gives returns. Only way to prevent it is to get one with as high response as possible.

I'm in my fourth season now and Akinfeev (*points at avatar *) and he's got 96 response atm.

vandersar are most diff to conceded, hes really great.. i remember i got chance 29 shot faced and 19 are on goal, but vandersar make its clean sheet, and im lose after penalty shootout.. huh but its just happen 1 times, and vandersar got man of the match with 8 rating.

So defending stays problematic. If you compare the defending to the attacking, attacking is much easier to do. They should add more things to defending that you can do in the game (not the tactics)!
