I just decided to pick up Pro Evo 2009 I took it online and played a few games. and notice tackling some one is crazy in this game. and the players seem to be stupid. and find out I can dribble from my end to the next end and score,why is the defence so hard is there a way to tackle, I played other pes games like pes 05. and it was much more solid game than this, I feel like I wasted my money on a arcade game, I was looking for more sims style game play

the only reason i can think of is crap AI. all you can do is just to time your tackles well and cool it with the pressure button.

Im a big fan of the series now im really disapointed how the series went down hill I wasted my money on pes 2008 waited a year for pes 2009 to be better and now i feel like i just got rob

What difficulty level are you on?

I don't know if you can really dribble through the AI on the Top Player difficulty setting... but if you go on-line the lag makes it very difficult to execute slide tackles and also defend.. I mean, its lag, even the smallest amoutn will screw you up, especially in a game like this where if you fail to react correctly your guy gets beat or you slide too late nad get a red card.

Are you having the same issues Off Line with Top Player difficulty?
