I dled both and let me tell you while the game is the same except for the added difficulty level on WE they play different. WE is slower and a more realistic pace + there is no slowdown and the replays are much more watchable. Anyone else notice this?

Yes, I agree.

Same graphics.

Six Levels.

Menus and Names in english.

Turkey out, Japan in.

WE is not so freneticly fast, more balanced playability.

Slowdowns? Playing: ZERO. Replays: rarely, just in some angles with many players on screen.

Veredict: WE2008 is better than PES2008.

Unfortunately for me: Tonight I'll get my Italian PES2008... At least, it's a good news: the Konami really can improove it with a simple patch.

Regards from Sao Paulo, BRAZIL...

I have always had the chance to play both winning eleven and pro evo on previous versions... this was because winning eleven (jap version) always came out before pro evo did.
I did realise there were a few major differences... im not sure if this applies to the PES2008 and winning equivalent cuz i havent tried the two...

but based on past versions.. the main differences are
Winning tended to be at a more flowing pace than PES
The CPU's on winning tended to be a tad bit harder than that on PES
Controlling were slightly more delicate on winning than on PES

Ive always liked it on winning > PES for such reasons, just that player names in japanese gotten on my nerves abit till i found the OF.

Not sure if the winning and PES will the different in this newest version

I will be getting WE 2008 and cancelling my FIFA 08 ideas.

I was a little dissappointed with a few things on PES 2008 but have come to love the gameplay especially in the ML.
