Do you have it yet?

I bought it yesterday, played on it for a couple of hours or so. A bit trial and error for me so far. There's a lot to get my head around and it will take time for me to learn it all, that's for sure.

How are you playing the game? Are you supposed to play stealthily?

It looks fucking awesome. Might pick it up in a couple of days.

I've only played one mission so far, and I did it stealthily and non-leathal.

FPS. It's only 3rd person when you take cover.

Waiting....
About 1:18 into the video, where the guy in the anti-contamination suit is banging the glass for help.

Enjoying it to a point. Just reached a mini boss battle against an aug with an arm that becomes automatic rifle. Very. Fucking. Annoying. If you keep your distance then AI tracks you with ruthless accuracy and impossible reload speeds. If you get up close, the fucker grabs you & punches you to the floor, doesn't matter if you are behind him... :erm:

He also takes some damage. Emptied two full rifle clips into the twat and blew up an explosive barrel right in front of him, yet sill onwards he marched. Turned off my 360 out of frustration.

I will go back though as despite some shonky, nay suicidal AI, the game itself is actually really enjoyable.

Apparently you're an old fella fick. Are you married? Do people comment on the fact you play video games?

(Don't see a problem with playing games no matter how old you are as far as I'm concerned. Though my grandad saw me playing a game and said 'YOU'RE TOO OLD TO PLAY GAMES'. Games are much like any other form of entertainment; only that they are interactive. Frankly, with the shit that is on TV, I'd rather play games than watch TV.)

I am of the more aged variety, but hardly over the hill!

Games are a way to release aggression, boredom, stress and generally take one's mind off the general shite of everyday life & immerse yourself in something else. I do still take time to read, listen to music, cook and socialise too though.

Agree that TV is generally shite though.

I will definitely pick this up sooner or later. I have a few other games that I want to finish off first so have not purchased Deus Ex just yet, so to avoid starting it up and forgetting all about the current crop.

I saw it for £29.99 (PS3) in Argos, mind. Tempting.

I'm definitely getting into this more and more as I play it. I'm just:

At the point when you return to Detroit with all the riots going on.

At first, I was being all nice and non-lethal. But now, I just think fuck it, some folk deserve to die. Plus it's awesome when you hack a turret/bot and everyone is slaughtered. I have some sort of code though - I won't kill your average Joe security guard, but I will kill anyone who deserves it.

That is how I approached the game. I too initially attempted to sneak past but I just didn't find it very fun. It was tedious and wasn't as fun as using stealth in MGS games.

Didn't usually pull out the big guns unless necessary though. I tried sneaking along side using the silenced pistol.

Oh yeah, I try to remain undetected.

It's hard to remain undetected. Only a few times I managed to get the ghost status. Sometimes it's just satisfying to pull out the assault rifle and go guns blazing :p

I'll do that on my next playthrough. Basically, I'm just gonna be a bit of a bastard next time :D
