I've only played about 10 games but they spill absolutely everything, not to mention they don't come out for corners when you hold triangle (ps3)

'Are a complete waste of space' and 'All came through the Arsenal youth academy' - you are repeating yourself.

In this PES you just have to do work harder to stop the opponent getting shots. IRL, if you give chances away you are likely to conceed a goal sooner or later, but I have to say I havn't noticed the GK's being any worse than PES2010.

I've played the demo since the day it came out and just played 2 games on the full game yesterday. I may have to get back toyou on that one.

If you look at the modern game, most GK's arent that good at catching anymore compared to 10-20 years ago. For most its about shot stopping and punches.

I think PES has actually made the GK's just like any other player: they make mistakes, and they are fallable, not the terminators who save everything you get in the old games.

No offense mate but I think you're being a bit generous to Konami...fair enough you've only played 2 full games but after about 5-10 you'll realize that the keepers drop about 90% of the shots fired at them which is totally unrealistic compared to real life.

Also - they can't come out for corners which is a pain in the ass

The coming out for crosses corners bit might be due to the card system being taken away this year. They may not have adjusted the GK AI enough to compensate. That may be a balls up on Konami's part.

I always play with a deep defence, maybe thats why I never really notice the things that others seem to with GKs. When the ball comes in, they are usualyl fairly close the ball and the get it usually when i press X, even if it si just a punch.

One thing that really gets my goat is you cannot set up your own set pieces this year, like FM2010 or something.

I guarantee when I start my first season today or tomorrow, at some point I will have Stein, who is basically a leprechaun, marking some 6 ft 8 lump. Guess where the ball will go?

Ok is it just me or are they a complete waste of space?

I'm devastated they're so bad.

I said it to you last night dude, fair enough a few blasted shots go straight through the keepers hands but its the spilling aspect of it that is killing it for me, granted they dont spill it too far away from there bodies and if no striker is in close proximity then he will gather it on the second attempt but odds are there is a striker about and he will get on the end of the keepers constant spillage especially when players are grouped in the box, I havent played it enough to have the full picture of the game or whether I will end up loving or hating so ill reserve my judgment and damnation till then.
