difference between 3* or 4*

Hello all!

I know it's sad I am not playing yet on 5 stars or 6 stars but anyway:
I always starts a new WE game on 3 stars. I noticed (also in the games before WE9 and PES4) that playing on 4 stars is much easier dan playing on 3 stars.
This is strange right, because 4 stars should be harder dan 3 stars.
On PES4 I had the same with 5 and 6 stars (6 was easier then 5 stars in my opinion)

Does anybody else experienced the same?? Or is it just me? ;-)

How come you can post when your banned?

Anyway i think it might be just you as i found it harder but it could depend what team you use if you use a good team like Real Madrid its easier

Well, I played with Japan the Nippon challenge. On 3 stars I managed to get to the second round of the world cup.. on 4 stars I became third after winning the play off against Brazil with 3-1. So for me its easier. But indeed: it might be just me

On different difficulties the computer plays a different style of football. For instance on PES4 on 6* the CPU was more attacking so some people found it easier to score as you could get on the break more.

Leonbass, you shouldn't be embarrassed about not being on 5* or 6*, When I first got the game I played on two! I'm not on 5* though, and getting some PES to unlock 6*

Personally, I felt there wasn't much of a difference between 3* and 4*, it's just that on 4*, the computer is harder to break down. I think, the biggest gap in difficulty is between 2* and 3*. I can't specify why I think this, it's just harder in general.

Some good points raised here. I think the difference in difficulties are based upon the 2 main parts of the game; attacking and defending. As the difficulties go up, the CPU improves in each area. Perhaps this means that on 3* and 4* the defence is the same 'strength', yet on on 4* the CPU attacks a lot better.

Soon konami needs a 7* or 8* option cos 6*is easy,this is on pes4,i havent got pro evo 5 yet hopefully it's more challenging.

Agree 100%, when it gets to the point when im winning 7-0 consistently against better teams on 6* I know I need a better challenge!

Yep,i find i seem to beat the "better" teams a lot easier than the smaller clubs,weird huh?

I can never play well against 3*. I find 5* much easier because of the football that the opponent plays.

Never really played 4* though.

Saying that about Everton I played them today(and I have Henry in my team) and only won 1-0 then played Inter Milan and whooped em' 4-0! Funny old game isn't it?!

When i first got playing PES3 and PES4 i started on 2* but since a month or two ago i moved from 2* to 4* and the occasional 6* but i started to find it hard so i moved down to 3* although its hard at times it seems to be fine for me by the time PES5 comes out ill be looking to move onto 5* 6* permanentally!

Well I play the Nippon Challange too Leonbass......is difficult to me (I was play in 3*)......hahaha, listen this: I lost 2-0 vs Hong Kong!!!.....I qualified to the second round with 4 victories and 1 lost.....but is difficult......Japan is so slow, i dont know why...... I tried in 4* and maybe was more easy for me......

i have experimented with all of them, and in my opinion 5* is the best challenge
