Hi. I loved PES3, so couldn't wait for the new one.
But I feel a bit let down, maybe coz of my own optimism.
I'd probably be more tolerant and patient if it wasn't for one REALLY annoying feature:
You can't turn off the radar. I've never used it, never needed it. Now the best you can do is make it transluscent. Or have I missed something? Is it possible to turn the bloody thing off? HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Also, anyone know if there's an edit disc out yet, or due out?

For me the radar is the most useful thing in any footie game but especially this one. It helps you out with through balls no end. Learn to love it!

At first I hated it and it has now been 3 days and I am starting to see the light. The thing that annoyed me was the fact that players like Beckham and Giggs, players who hardly ever use their weaker foot, were using their weaker feet all the time. A trip to the Edit mode and there is an option in players abilities which states - Lesser Foot Frequency (or something similar). Drop this to 1 (minimum) and they look like they are playing football how they should. I did this for nearly every player in Premier League and the game seems much much better and far more realistic. Try it!!

I'll have a look in options to turn it off, but I've got a feeling it can't be done. I'm still not really getting used to the radar, I think coz it spoils the TV-like effect.

With the lack of hoops, stripes and diagonals in the kit edit, and the radar issue, I can't help feel that Konami released this game before it was ready. Seems like they rushed it through to meet a deadline. Maybe I just loved PES3 toooooo much!!!!

I agree, but I already prefer PES4 to 3. It feels less buggy. The arthritic speed of the default ML team is driving me up the wall but I guess that's my fault not the game.

forget the radar .. the injury time is ridiculous, even if your standing in the penalty area and its almost half time they just whissle .. and the funny thing is , they finally put a ref in the game ..but is the whissle always in his mouth or something ? cuz when he whissles i dont see him grabbin for something..(sorry for posting it here)

I'm a newcastle fan, and i'm so pissed that there is no stripes... I mean how stupid can you get? they were in the last game so why not this'n? I always play ml with the toon and now thats spoilt. Just gonna annoy me every time I play. Before any1 replies, and says they dont care coz the games fantastic, fair enough, it is, but I always edit the game and my copy of pes3 is still bang up to date today, strips, players, the lot...so this is important to me.
ps. dannyboy, cracking effort with the edit guide, few tweaks needed but well done lad.

I know how you feel mikeyf. I can only just get a similar Everton kit, and we don't have stripes. It just all seems a half-assed effort by Konami. I preferred the game-play in PES3 as well, but maybe I'm still huffing about that frigging radar. I've tried to get used to it, but it's not happening.

Sorry if I seem like I'm whining too much, it's just that PES3 was so close to the perfect footy game. But I do like the stadiums- especially the Rasunda which is almost Goodison Park if you squint a bit...
