disconnecting whilst online

hi all,
i currently have been playing pes online but recently it keeps disconnecting, ive noticed it occurs more when my sister is on msn, is this coincedence or does it just happen?is there anything i can do to prevent it from disconnecting as it is really starting to annoy me?

Make sure you never have any internet-based programs running at the same time as you play. This will almost certainly be the problem. It is also very, very annoying for your opponent as he/she will experience really extreme lag.

Does anyone know how to disconnect without turning the ps2 off? People do this a lot; even at the team select screen and come straight back to the lobby.

Any advice would be helpful.

nah seriosuly.. do you use wireless?? that might explain drop outs..
or maybe your isp drops out constantly (happenning to ADSL2+ people here in Australia).

i mean is youre pc using the net through wirelesS?? if it is then it might be your connection through the wireless.. it tends to drop out a lot. =/
