I was playing PES last night and something strange happened. It was a master league fixture against Wisla Krakow.
The computer put a through ball in for the striker, i bought Ivarov out, he slides in but the striker snipes around him. All of a sudden the striker goes down and wins a penalty. Ivarov gets sent off and I think yeah fair enough he caught him with a trailing leg. (El Moubaraki steps in for the pen and makes a double save to keep them out!)
But then after close inspection on the replay i noticed that there was no contact from Ivarovs leg and the striker seemed to dive, exactly in the way you can dive in the next gen versions of the game. There were also 2 defenders around the striker but he had beaten them before he went down.
Anyway the point is that has anyone had any confirmation from Konami that there is NO diving feature in the PS2 version of the game, because this seemed like a blatant dive to me. I watched the replay 3-4 times.
