Do I Need bootchip for Max Drive?

Hey everybody..
Im all new to this transfering from PC to PS2 so forgive me if a ask stupid

I just bought PES2008 for PS2 yesterday and frankly, i was a lil dissappointet..

Long story short i wanna know if i need a Bootchip to use Max Drive?
cuz i dont have one installed and imma about to buy a Max Drive if i dont.

Wanna transfer badges, shirt etc.

Ermm, I don't think so.
But I'm not sure.

no i have max drive and it works fine without a Bootchip
so you dont need it just buy the max drive and use it
