I burned my patched game to a DVD+RW but the PS 2 didn;t read it...is there something I need to do differently? I have the 10 screw flip top version...

Don't know pal?? I really want to get into this patching lark though... so I've got a FLIP TOP LID for my v6 PS2... All I've read on here is that people patch it and then burn it onto a CD-R. If anyone could let me know on how to patch PES3 (and PES4 when it comes out?!?) then that would be great.

Thanks

Paul

I dont think the older PS2's can read DVD-RW's (something about the laser ,or it damages the laser or something) i read that somewhere.....

i wanna know how 2 patch games as well but it seems complicated with all the files etc. you7 need and all the files u need 2 open up and change etc.

Exactly!!! Perhaps someone would be kind enough to give us useless patchers a hand and tell us how to do it??? I've checked the tutorial but it seems like a mission!!! How do you download patches and put them onto the game? Can you still edit the patch afterwards?

Thanks

Just have a look at the guides, the easiest way would be to patch a DVD version as the rip kits would only be neccessary if u only had a CDR burner and a PC DVD ROM DRIVE.

BASICALLY

get a DVD image of WE8

get the patch fille (Known as) a PPF file. (Non out yet apart from Fernando's)

get a Patching Program called PPF-O-MATIC 3

The select both the patch file and the DVD image and patch them using PPF-O-MATIC

then burn.

Apparently from Version 7 on wards which are the 8 screw PS2's they can easily read + and - dvdr's. Before that struggle with dvdr+ which I imagine your 10 screw is one of the first generation of PS2's. Therefore you will probably only be able to play DVDR- rather than rereadables.
Hope this may help
