DO players REALLY retire??

hi guys, this has been REALLY bugging me. At first i didnt believe they retired. but then loads of people said they do and loads said they dont. so i just wanna know, is it fact or fiction that players retire?

Players do not retire in PES1, PES2, PES3, WE6:FE, WE7 and WE7:I.
There is news that there will be some retirement factor added to WE8 and PES4.

ah AH, i thought so! oh yeah i heard about WE8 may have that option in the game! which is pretty cool.

Theres an option in the master league section where you can include 'retired' players but that just means the classic and secret players.

I don't think it will be that good if they do that. Some people do alot of seasons on the ML and this could mean having to bring world class players which are just made up by Konami.
