Do you guys replay the game when u feel cheated?

I find it a lot more annoying when playing a mate. Especially if they rub it in.

"Rematch!"

My rule in ML: "no Mulligans."

However, lately since I have become better at BAL I have made an amendment to the rule. Since we usually win when I'm starting, I tend to rerun the games I skip due to fatigue until we win or at least draw. There's little sport in watching your team lose when you didn't play. Of course, that's unrealistic of me, but I think it's a small sin and I just have to fight the urge not to skip (i.e. win) critical matches.

I once lost 11-10 on pens to my mate after getting 20 more shots on target during the match. I hulked up and demanded a rematch.

Lost 2-0. :faceplm:

So playing with Barca ( your team ) against Almeria , or Racing , or Sporting de Gijon and having 41% possesion and losing the game is bad luck? Sorry thats IMPOSSIBLE in real life.

Nothing is impossible... that's why you play the game!!!

US beating Russia in hockey in the 80s was supposed to be IMPOSSIBLE!!

I don't know man, I too used to reload back in 06 or whatever, but then I asked myself.. Why?! Why am I reloading? And the only answer I could come up with was cause I was LOSING! And that wasn't right, I'm not supposed to win every freaking time... if I lose I lose. No matter how bad the AI wants to cheat, if you are on your game and you are focused you will see all of the AIs attempts before they happen and stop them.

I mean when has the AI ever scored a goal on you and you said.. oh yeah, good stuff AI! That was brilliant!! I was completely dismantled by tactical superiority on that one.

Never, we're always saying FCK!!! That sucked, that was lame, that was g@y, that was bullsh1t, the AI is cheating!!!

It is what it is, just take it like a man and move on, no matter what.

No no no... that's not right. No matter what you gotta take the result! You can control everything. If you shoot and miss, well you shoot and miss, so your strikers are having a bad day... luck is part of soccer... I don't know, I just wouldn't feel right reloading a game...

Agreed, I got sooo angry, but got on with it, it wasnt so bad in pes6, because the overall gameplay was real nice in that game, however pes 2008 was just the final straw, as soon as i won the league in the 1st season, i took the game back to the shop, games are meant to be fun, otherwise why bother?

Everyone moans that the game is to easy etc but as soon as they lose they reset the game to make sure they win the game.

Doesnt matter if you think you deserve to win if you dont score u obviously dont deserve to win.

Go watch Liverpool -v- Arsenal in the FA Cup final........did Arsenal ask for a replay because they deserved to win but lost?

Anyone who resets the game because they lose and think they deserve to win are obviously not real football fans.

If you lose deal with it and try to win the next game, makes it more fun if u can actually lose a game instead of winning every single one all the time

Bet your the type of people who only go barca / inter online as well!

Yeah, call everyone who has ever replayed a game names. Will do well, I'm tellin' ya!
I hardly ever think about resetting the game now, though I confess - I used to do it a whole lot before and not ashamed of that. If I consider a replay now it's ONLY because of obvious cheats (those are obvious, not the fact that everyone who replays a game isn't a football fan) like two of my AI controlled guys stand 2 meters aside from the ball's course on the ground, neither moves, and when an AI striker comes to get it they suddenly go like "OMG was it a ball right here just now?" and they start to run, bump into each other and get impossible to switch on for 5 seconds, which the computer uses to run into my goal because the GK decided to go to the opposite side of the goal and then jump to get it diagonally (it happened to me today when I was playing against Inter in ML, so I know what I'm talking about).

Well, I really regret that my computer that can pull off running PES isn't connected to the Internet. Else I would consider playing online and I am 100% sure that I wouldn't be another "Barca/Inter/ManU all the way" type of guy. I played my brother, who's better in PES overall, me using my default ML team half a season deep into the game against his Liverpool after two full seasons - even though I lost 1:9 I still had lotsa fun simply playing the game. You could ask then "Why don't you get over losses against AI then?". Answer is simple and I already said it. Obvious AI cheats that take away the pleasure of playing this game.

Restart the hell out of it, who cares it's between you and AI - no body knows ;)

take it easy guys. I agree with Meldeath that when you actually play other human players and lose it still feels good. but when playing an AI and you don't like the way it turns out - reset. I don't think the AI is going to give you a golden medal for honesty - do whatever makes it fun for you. it's a game and you're playing against a program - do what makes you happy before you toss the game out the window anyways.

Until Konami has a decent online mode where you can rank against others then winning and losing will surely has another meaning. (I know I know fifa already has something decent!!).

I play warcraft III online with my friends 3v3 usually, and we get our ass kicked sometimes by really good players, we start blaming each other and then when we calm down fix our individual and team mistakes and keep playing. I really wish I can have that much fun online with PES. not yet. not yet.

i'm with scouse god, if you lose deal with it, on my BAL i have lost the champions league final twice and the world cup final all on penalties and wouldn't even think of replaying them, disapointment is what football is all about, it makes the winning even better.

also with autosave on even if i wanted to i couldn't!

Well, I've never reloaded a BAL game. BAL makes the AI pretty evenly balanced, and if I lose - I know it's not only my fault in dealing with the cheating AI, but also the AI's itself.

Just to clarify - those who are talking about "cheating AI..."

What does that mean exactly? Are you implying that these random acts which go in favour of the CPU team were things that the game decided to make happen so that it would win? If they are strange random events like described by Meldeath, how can that possibly be an intentional part of the programming? Don't some of the strange occurrences then also go in your favour? If so, do you reset the game?

Maybe I'm, missing something, but I don't think I have ever seen anything that makes me feel "cheated."

It just makes people not feel bad when they reset their game. Oh the AI cheated, did you see that?! CHEATING!! I can reset it right? .. cause it was cheating... right?.. . Ok cool... stupid AI!

I'm willing to bet that a large % of people that reset the game off-line are the same people that pull the plug when losing on-line.

That mentality will transfer over in a lot of cases.

Oh, I see. My hands are tainted for I have replayed a game in which I felt I was being cheated all the time. This means I am no fan of Pro Evo series, I am no fan of football and why the heck am I even writing on this board? Ban me if you please.</irony>
You are drawing some not exactly correct conclusions. Does the fact I reset a game or two (actually three, oh my gosh! how could I?!) mean I will always do it? No, it does not. I have lost games recorded in my saved games, of course I have. Everybody has. They weren't like "Oh, I lost this one as well... I know, I won't load for once!". They were like "Yeah, I was playing badly or simply not good enough, got beaten. Happens." or "Yeah, I felt cheated but it wasn't that much, one or two random events may still happen." I have only reset games where for most of the time I couldn't play my football because of glitches in the programming or w/e. It's not I'm replaying every game I do not earn points in.

I am willing to bet that my words are those, which most of the players who also admit to have reset their games would say. And yeah, I cannot GUARANTEE that I would never get angry over a lost game on-line, but I am sure I would never disconnect during it to win. I am the man of my words and I have all due respect when dealing with a living opponent. The other part, actually called "believing the words of others" is up to you.

Cheers
