do you have to change player everytime you pass?

Sorry, I did look around, but couldn't find any answer (which makes me wonder even more.... how you guys play)
Everytime I pass, the player who receive the ball is not under my control.
Is that normal? It's the first soccer game ever that doesn't change the player automatically when pass.
I basically press 'change player' button every time I pass to get the control of the ball, but that is even hard to do (sometimes I have to press button more than once to get a control of the player who receives the pass).
Please tell me if there is any way to have the game change player automatically. I know there is a change in passing system in this 2011 one, but just not sure if this is one of the features.
If cannot be changed or this is just one of the features, how do you guys play? specially when passing short over and over. I see myself busy hitting 'change player' button as much as hitting passing button, or even more. This is frustrating.

you must have switched your control settings to manual, change it back to semi automatic or automatic and it will solve your problem

semi - is the way forwards fella

auto - as said ^ sucks balls, manual is akward beyond belief as you are experiencing!.

I really think that PES should copy FIFA here and have the ability to select any player with a flick of the right stick in their direction. So useful when you know that long thru ball is coming.

Thanks guys! I did NOT change any settings, but I guess it somehow just gave me manual default setting.
I will try semi auto. Auto doesn't sound good either haha

Normally using manual mode is best for doing some trick passing instead of fixed pass which in pro mode is pointless for thru pass.. But semi-auto mode if u too lazy to switch key-player playing set-piece and false forward to trick the AI..
