Which game do you think is better and why?

Personally I prefer pes09 as it's much more responsive and refined and also the gameplay is ALOT slower. Another reason I prefer pes09 is that the animations are much more fluid and the keepers and AI are alot more robust, if you don't believe me then take out pes09 and start playing it, you will realise what I mean : )

aint played pes 2009 in ages, but fuck me, that game was an abortion, seriously, although im not an expert. second worst pes ever imo after pes 2008.

You cant compare 2009 to 2010. The 2010 is so much better. 2008 was the worst of the series.

I didnt say 2009 was better than 2010, thats why i said it was the second worst pes ever.

Anyways, bottom line is, after pes6, they have all been shit.

i agree PES 09 was shit, 08 was worse. Pes 2010 is better than them both but still has problems with it, loads of people are just bitching about all the problems, i don't see the point, it won't make the game better. Since PES 6 it has gone downhill, but i'm not gonna complain about it to the extent that other people have, i will continue to play PES 10 and will buy PES 11 next year.

Fuck that shit, im waiting till demo time before i get serious about buying PES again, the game is a load of horseshit, end of.

Right now im running out of ideas for my copy of pes 2010, the disc is a bit too sharp to wipe my ass with and as a frisbee its average, I have to say, if you ever buy a posh new table, and you dont wanna put the coffee mug on top of the table, pes 2010 makes a great coffee mat, otherwise its fucking useless.

"90 degree turns"

What a joke.

PES 2010 is much better in terms of AI as well, and the "360" degree movement adds a lot to BAL. ML is much better (I would prefer PES 2010 for that alone). Graphics, skills, variety of goals, and defending are all better in 2010. The only thing I would give PES 09 the upper hand on is keepers and refs.

For the keepers it's really evident in PES 2010 that they don't stand a chance in one on one situations. Pass accuracy and shot accuracy are generally too high in PES 2010 as well when compared to PES 09.

Bottom line for me though is the fact that the 90 degree turn and fakes shots are soooo effective in PES 09 ruin that game entirely IMO.

well it's not a load of horseshit is it, it has some problems that don't come up on every game. It's better than FIFA by far, that game went shit long before PES got these problems, i know PES shouldn't have problems but it does, deal with it, they can't make a 100% perfect game, people will always find problems with it, same as every other game out there people will always find some problems with them.

I agree 90 degree turns are a joke BUT i had more fun playing 09 than 2010 so far maybe i need to play more but m players seem so sluggish when when i tell them to cross or shot or stop ball i understand that you cant stop on a dime but it seems no matter what the AI will do their animation faster or something. Seems like more work to beat defenders which it shouldnt be easy but if you get a step or 2 and you ahve a fster player you should be able to get a shot off without that trailing player some how fouling me and taking the ball with no whistle that is just plain robbery.

ONly have about 6 hours played so for now i had more fun playing 09 than 2010 the formation menu set up is aweful ,the sliders are nice though.


I think i know why they seemed so sluggish i have older pc and wide view eats up more graphics power. I changed view and decreased graphics and it plays much nicer. Still have to get used to the new physics esp with moves and the timing of them.

agree.
i really gave PES2010 a chance but although i got used to it and the option file from chimps made it a better game i still prefer 2009.

the response is much better,i also like the animations better.
the players have a certain weight to them and feel solid.
the A/I is better and really attacks.(the option file did help in this department with PES2010 ).

Man............. I dont have 2009 anymore, threw that shit away after like 5 mins, otherwise i could do a comparison.

Thats kinda shocked me, because 2009 was shit at its best imo.

yeah we all know that you don't like the PES games on the next gen consoles and i can't totally blame you when you compare them to the ps2 installments but from all the 3 recent ones i enjoyed 2009 the most and one of the biggest reasons is the response issue.

it wouldn't be fair of me to say that the reason i have hated most of the FIFA games was because of that lack of response and then give PES 2010 a break.

the game is also much more challenging then the 2010 one and all this although i have a very good option file.
i like the animations better and the feeling i get to watch the replays when i scored a nice goal just isn't there in 2010 because the animations suck so watching the replays doesn't give me the same satisfaction.

one of the things i do like better in PES 2010 is the through ball because you really have to point to the exact space you want to put the ball through and that really needs reading and understanding of the game.

even the simple animations in PES 2010 look stupid, the game is too easy,the challenge is just gone,most of the players feel sluggish and the refs are the worse in the series.
just some of the reasons i enjoy the other one better.

I don't know what the others are talking about. PES 2009 animated the worst out of the bunch. 2010 has it's fair share of awkward moments, but it's still better than 2009. Granted, 2007 and 2008 had the best animations out of the four.

HAd to come back after putting more hours into it and i have to say i liek 2010 better jsut not the refs who play tested this and thought the refs were fine? that is the biggest problem for me it seems this would ruin online play. i like the sliders BUT they took away the attacking arrows which i liked( in edit postion} there are a couple more things they took out but the gameplay i must say i enjoy this better and the animations are good better than 09 esp at the foot ,the moves while not perfect are more "organic".

PES10 botched the sliders so every team played like idiots out of the box on Regular, but at least it didn't script and cheat like PES09. That game had a major malfunction in that it hated to lose and had to make defenders as quick as Theo Walcott and defend like a genetically modified hybrid of Maldini and Beckenbauer with Tony Adams thrown in for good measure.

PES 2010 by FAR. PES 2010 is one of the best PES games i've played and I've played them all since PES 3.

PES 2011 will be the best tho.

Been playing PES 2009 since the first day it went out. But then came PES 2010 last year. I got stucked with it immediately. There is quite a number of new features especially in the ML mode. Sure, the response time was quite an issue and it took me 3 months to adapt to the game. As for the referee, I hate it as well but it didn't stop me from playing it.
