does anyone notice Teamvision?

I find TeamVision doesn't stop you if your way of playing is passing it down the wing to a midfielder from defense, running to the halfway line and centering the ball. That play is very easy to do and very effective, and TV doesn't seem to react to it. When it moves to cover one wing, it leaves the other winger wiiiide open. I try not to do it because it's just too easy.

But the game forces you to exploit its weaknesses.....if you dont exploit the game then your opposition will and you are going to get beat, simple as that.
The more creative you try to play PES the lower probability you have of finding the net and with PES2008, if you play creative and dominate, then as soon as you lose possesion (i.e. from corner or AI scripted stray pass) then you are in great danger of losing a goal on the counter.
This is why there is so much hatred towards the game. When you are playing the game competitvely it is like you are basically trying to steal from your opponent and he is trying to steal from you. A competition to see who can be the most snidey and underhand where the first player to show a bit of a creative tendency or a bit of sportsmanship will be sure to lose. All this fucking ratbag shit combined with an AI engine that likes to jump into the middle of the fray from time to time and helping one of the players to beat the others makes PES a right piece of shit cunt of a game...... (Why cant I just throw it in the bin for good?)
Roll on Online Sensible World of Soccer for PC. When that finally comes out, ProEv fucking Soccer can get right to fuck...hopefully for good.

My only consolation is that I took my original copy back and got a refund but kept the serial key (first time I have ever done this for any game that I bought).....So at least I aint paying for the dubious privilege.

It exists in a certain form.......but not in any form worthy of such a grandiose name as Team Vision.
As PacMan said....play it straight down the left line 3-4 times...and the opposition AI will then pack the left wing...Leaving the right totally EXPOSED!
I just scored 6 goals with only Quaresma. The CBs passed to the LB or one time to Deco and then to Quaresma. Started running towards the goal, scored 6 times. It was obvious that I was only playing with my LWF and noone else.
TV sucks; Either that or here it is broke lol.
This was against Italy BTW.
That pretty much sums up this game. There are some blatantly easy ways to exploit the AI behaviour, which is really poor, and only when you try to mix it up a bit does the game become challenging. Like any old FIFA, you have to avoid the exploits to make the game worth playing, and the problem with that is that it eliminates a whole range of plays and things you can do, lest you feel like you're cheating or seeking the easy way out.

Answer is you cant.......Play anyone online with a 60% + win rate and you will witness the game at its utter most horrible.
Like I have said, this game is not about fun. It is about theiving of your opponent...It is about ripping people off....the only joy that comes from it is the perverse ugly joy of feeling like you have really fucked someone over and the frustration and agony of losing is akin to that of having your car broken into and all your CD collection stolen.
Anyways...I have moaned like fuck for 2 months now but enough is enough.....I am getting rid of PES 2008 once and for all.
Will just have to do without a football game to play until Sensible Soccer comes out for PC online.
Any bootleg gamers want a gen serial key then first to PM is first to get it.

i think i noticed it but i dont not in one game it was over the course of the season.
i had the same sort of game plan but towards the second half i think my tactics were sussed out and it was harder to find space on the wings.

No....what happened there was you were just getting tired of repeating the same old thing so it didn't work so good cos you weren't as immersed in it cos u were getting bored of the same old thing all the time.
Teamvision AI is meant to work in the game....one game only.
I've won one season with only 3 ties and 0 losses (2008) and now am in the middle of another season that probably will never get finished (2009), and I've got one lost game (out of my own stupidity) and 1 tie, the rest is all wins. My ML team is good, but not that good. Midfield is mediocre, defense is OK, attack is very good. I set ML on the hardest difficulty and I'm playing on Top Player from the very beginning. Sure, fatigue is insane, but the game is a piece of cake once you get a decent 11.
I always use the same tactics. I mean, I mix it up a lot and stuff, but when it comes to playing long balls, I find myself doing the same things, when it comes to playing it down the middle, I always pass it around a lot, and so on. Eventually the AI adapts (OR NOT, some games I can get up to 5 goals just by going down the middle or via long passes, etc), so I just switch to another modality (eg instead of attacking down the middle, I run down the wings) and the game becomes super easy again. Rinse and repeat for every game in the season. Once you are relatively good at a few different tactics, you are practically invincible.
At first I found defending difficult, but once you go from crappy defenders to mediocre or good ones and you instruct them to push forward, the AI just can't score.
3 out of 5 games I get a goal before the clock shows 10 min.
Summing it up, this is nicest but lamest PES I've played. As I said before, it should come in a bundle with Top Spin 2, as they are very similar. They look so nice and have so much potential as a simulation, yet they're soo easy and arcadeish in the end.

the CPU still just play the same way, hitting you with 1 chance 1 goal moves.
matter fact i doubted it was even switched on or some shit cus i was wondering when was the shit gonna start happening..........

Hasn't EA taught you the lesson yet? Any AI/engine feature that needs a fancy name is a load of sh*t.
Has anyone noticed that FIFA has no cute names for things this year? Only numbers (like "this game makes 3.000.000.000.000 calculations per second" or "this game is too powerful for PCs, that's why it was released for the Xbox and PS3 only" [yeah, I know, pure crap]), but no fancy names.

I only notice it on Top Player. I don't think they pick up on your style of play, they just seem to mark better. However, it's easy to overcome this by using the one-two. You can either pass to the running player, or run with the player with the ball. The marker will either go with the runner or try to tackle you. If he tries to tackle you, side step him then pass.
As long as the CPU doesn't have the ball, Top Player is easy.

Exactly. Get a decent midfield and defender, and don't risk it, and you'll get 60+ possession, hence very easy matches.

Teamvision up my ass!!! I remember only 1 draw in my first ML season. It was a 1-1 against Ajax and all the other matches ended 5-0 6-0 7-0 5-1 6-1 7-1 for me. I even beat Rangers 11-1.
