Does PES3 runs well on Non-Sony TV?

I have been playing the Winning Eleven/PES series on my Sony TV for years. I remembered reading an article from this board that PES3 runs particularly well on a Sony TV . My family is contemplating of buying a 34inch TV but unfortunately the make is not Sony.

Can anyone please confirm whether PES3 will run smoothly on a non Sony TV.

Thank You.

I never heard of that idea.
I don't think it's true.

Best picture of a PES game I've ever seen was on the flat-screen TVs in the Trocadero HMV in Central London. Not sure what make it was though.

As long as you have a good type of Scart/RGB cable, it should be a good picture.

my pes3 has been fine from day one. to say i have a shit portable tv, im lucky that i have no stutter problems or any of the problems people have said were to do with the tv.

however, it is even more impressive on the big tv downstairs.

It doesn`t matter if it`s Sony or not. But if you want the best picture quality then buy 3500 EI Sharp 40" LCD TV.

60hz mines runs at no problimo. Its about how often the screen is refresshed per second or something?

eksol, for best picture quality, buy a pair of glasses, an appropriately-themed scarf, and a ticket to a real football game.

Get realistic. The bloke isn't going to go and spend four-quarters of his whole ancestory's life's savings on a new TV, just so PES3 runs smoothly. People really do come out with some crackers.

I saw an 'image intensifier' on sale in a local Game shop. That might improve the picture on a normal 'tube' tv, without paying hundreds extra for a 100Hz or LCD screen. It claims to enhance pictures from both games consoles (PS2/X-box) and DVD's (so I guess it relies on digital input - no use for intensifiying analogue tv signals).

I couldn't see the price on it, but wondered if anyone has tried one?

btw, there are 28" widescreen tv's on sale now for £200 at both Comet (Goodmans) and Dixons (Bush, only available on-line). The Goodmans one I got is NTSC compatible, but would an intesifier make a significant improvement?

Not heard of that....but it may do, or may be just a fad...wonder if anyone has tried one, or seen one in action.

Is there really such a thing? I have not heard of it before. My dilemma is that the bigger the TV for better viewing of the action , the poorer the picture quality.I would not mind having a look at this intensifier, if it is available in this part of the region. The graphics on the PS2 version is way behind the PC version.
Incidentally, has anyone tried playing the PS2 version on the PC?
Is there any significant improvement in the picture quality? Can someone confirm on this as the cable is not cheap (about USD70).

I'll see if I can get another look at this image intensifier, and get the details - I think it was made by a firm called NuScreen or NuSomething. Made in China anyway.

yeah, there is some kind of cable that can connect it to a monitor. I suppose that improves picture, cos it doubles the res...cant rememebr what the PS2 can do in terms of res on a tv, but its not great, therefore, when plaeyd on a big tv, the pixels are stretched....which degrades quality.

The reason why PES3`s manual says it works good on Sony TV is because they are obviously advertising Sony TV`s. And Marijuana - you know not everyone is poor :), I have 51" Wide Screen (zenith) tv.. so it`s all good..My vision is perfect..
