I don't buy them out of principle, but it fucks me right off when another team has Pele, Zico, Bobby Moore etc. - especially as you get them on a free transfer! It spoils it a bit to be honest

its not realistic, and I dont think ANYONE if they had the choice would include classic players - in fact I dont ever touch the classic teams at all, its of no interest to me.

Whats the ML like on PES6? any improvements??

I guess you could use a different option file for playing ML and not unlock the classic teams+players on it.

I doubt there are many changes to PES6 ML but we can hope.

In WE10, there is an option to have classic players available. I don't know whether this means Classic Brazil, etc. I think it covers the shop players though.

I don't know because I like to have them available. It's great to play Chelsea when they have a team of classic all-stars, Pele, Zico, Batistuta, Cruyff. It's awesome, about the only challenging game I ever seem to have.

But yeah, you can turn them off if you want.

Yeah but its not realistic is it, I mean it would be challenging to have all their players armed with sub-machine guns, but its not realistic!

i actually like to have them in the game as it gives you the option to buy players without weekening your opponents for example if you buy rooney, lampard gerrard and henry games against man u chelsea liverpool and arsenal become far easyer, at least if you buy a classic player your not taking the challenge out of playing the computer teams

i'm not saying its ideal but it is at least a way of making sure you play agaisnt decent opposition instead of teams strriped of their best players i would like the option to turn it off tho

I agree with you. I do not like to see classic players in ML. Really, it is not realistic. But at the same time I like having my team strong as well as my opponents. So i prefer to buy young players and start a star journey without involving any classic player in my team.
Playing with a classic team is fantastic, only when you are playing aganist another classic team from the same era, for example, Brazil 70 aganist West Germany 74 provided that the atmosphere of classic matches is different...refree, players style, commentary, etc.....this would be amazing i think.

but pro evo lets you do the equivalent of buyin cole terry senderos and err neville!! or just the whole arsenal back four and chelsea's if you want to weeken them which is cheating far more than buying classic players.

Well yeah, but just dont do it? Why feel the need to buy a teams entire defence? CPU teams dont buy up all the players, so as long as you can trust yourself not to do the same, the game will still be realistic.

the ML should be improved, I hardly bother with any other mode anyway

i dont do it and was using it as example of what you could do i just feel that sometimes if you need say a good attackin midfielder to complete your formation and the youngsters you've got arnt ready buying cruyf or charlton is better than buyin lampard or gerrard as it weakens the opposition to much and the cpu will not replace them with anyone of equal qualllity. I feel that untill the transfer and youth development system improves classic players and pes shop player are a decent stop gap

i find it very annoyin aswell didnt there used to b an option in pro3 to turn off com teams from buyin classic players if so why did they remove it????

no not the only ones there are others to totti, kaka, ronaldinho ect but only a hand full are world class at any one time and taking them from the opposition can make the game to easy

chelsea for example always run me close or beat me in the title race two of the main reasons for this are that lampard usually gets player of the season and drogba always comes high up on the scoring table. now i needed a player in a similar mould to drogba to play up front for me i.e. big strong quick good in the air but insted of buyin him or say adriano from inter (who usually feature in the wefa cup thanks to him) and weekening the opposition got hurst from classic england instead.

i know its not ideal as i said but at least it dosent make the cpu teams to easy to beat as you have taken their best players. the best solution would be to have a better selection of current young players and good players available in the pes shop who arnt in any of the teams in the game
(there are a few already in their adu and wagner love for example) with no classic players (boban, Puscas ect) available ti would give you a bigger pool to draw from and make the game more realistic

I've already said that you can turn this feature off in WE10, and, presumably PES6.

You don't have to have them any more, so you can stop complaining.

Classic players in the master league are the least of the problems with it.

Very true. It needs to be more difficult for those boring people who go out and buy R. Carlos, Ronaldinho, Shevchenko etc so that they never lose a game, then complain the ML is too easy.
