My gosh, does that video bring back some glorious memories of the legendary games we had back then. PES 5 and PES 6 in particular!

PES 2011 had an acceptable amount of freedom for passing, but not the dribbling, unlike the years gone by, where the dribbling on Pro Evo was a dream and a work of your own skill and control. This year, we have the freedom of passing and the dribbling back.

But the one thing PES was renowned for FOR YEARS, and the thing EA Sports really looked at and implemented in their own game was THE SHOOTING....and the feel of satisfaction you have, with the connection you have with the ball.

It's almost like this area, one of the most important in football, if not THE MOST important part....Has been totally forgotten about and ignored by Konami. The game is clearly improving in some areas year on year, but the shooting is getting worse and is not getting the attention and credit it needs and deserves.

The shooting in the old days was better than this junk. Where placing the shot where you want to, into a corner, in the year 2011, is totally out of your control.

At least you can still pass it in to the desired corner when passing assist is set to zero

Totally agree with the sentiment though.. manual shot placement seems to have been removed as a feature entirely now.

Yeah im not buying another PES if konami wont patch shooting in this one. but the game after like 250 online matches feels bad. Time to give up football games, or maybe switch to fifa lol

The keepers are utter shit in many of those goals in that video... And I generally don't miss those days. But the shooting in PES12 could do with a facelift.

I had to dump PES, she had to piss around with herself too much and i just can't be doing with slow, floaty weird shots anymore. I just couldn't forget about when she used to be so raw and passionate. I am now making do with FIFA but my God she is a right skanky mess, it's questionably whether i would be better off just using my hand. I am pining for PES so bad it's pathetic.

Those r2 shots are unrealistic but they birng back memories and way better than pes 2012 aiming, finesse or ball physics.

The graphics look outdated but idc.
Atleast it didn't have stupid bugs

First of all, Pes 6 was overrated because it was pes 6 that started to flip the balance between the attack and the defence.

As for the R2 shots. In pes 2012, the R2 shots work just as well, HOWEVER the power shots is where the problem lies as we do not really have control over it.
