A LOT OF PEOPLE HAVE BEEN MOANING ABOUT THE DRIBBLING INABILTIES COS DEFENDERS ARE TOO GOOD

switching players using the opposite sides strategy usally helped me on we7 pe3 cos the player got a yard or 2 of space to either accelerate into or jink ..remember ther are a multitude of tricks some that aren`t that obvious at first on we7/pe3 double sidestep on the edge of the box is deady ..

TRY ALL THE SKILLS U HAVE IN THE BOOK

anyone any good at beating defenders yet

It's all about a quick change of speed and direction.
I'm OK at dribbling and I've seen some demon dribblers around too.

If you think WE7 and PES3 are hard to dribble in, then stay away from WE7:IJ!!!
Much harder to dribble in that one.

I had a similar problem in the past.I used to dribble with the D-Pad and was extremely poor at it until I discovered the left analog stick. It is very easy to master and combined with R1, one can beat a defender on a run. However try not to use the analog stick for shooting, the D-pad is much better, hence you may need to master both. Dribbling in WE7i is tough, trust me you can still do it with the analog stick. But it does come with a price though, too much bending and turning of the analog stick will cause damage to the spring.. In a space of 1 year, I have spoilt 4 controllers!!!

i use the d-pad and i only dribble by changing the directions not by using any dribble moves and i make my friends run behind the ball for almost all of the match but i can't dribble AI

Dribbling aint that bad

It just takes practice. The side-step and stepover are very effective with say Figo or someone else with high dribbling accuracy. And using the L1 button to do I a quick small turn is also lethal. I would reccomend doing the R2 stepover(one step over) combined with a sidestep quickly after.

And after figuring out how to do all that. There is a way to do a side-step and then go foward which is also very effective.

And after you truly master the controls the spin move(360) is lethal with a good dribbing player. All dribbling is, is timing. Don't wait till you get an inch away from the defender to make a move. Make a move say one leg-over and then pick a side and start sprinting.

And dribbling can be done with most players but if you want to do the more advanced things make sure the person has a high dribbling accuracy.

Yeah i find dribbiling sometimes hard and other times very easy! it does really often depend on the player who, ya use

Has anyone ever done this move?

He taps with right foot to the inside of the left foot then quickly back and you just run by the defender. Ok, that wasn't a good explaination. I have a goal Henry doing it I'll try to get up.

I know what you mean, and yeah, it can be pretty useful. I think you just tap left and then quickly press right pretty much right after to do this.

Sounds like a 'Both foot feint'? The player taps it from one foot to the other, and it shifts his dribble (and the ball) slightly to the side and continues on in the same direction as before.

Only the best dribblers (like Henry) have that Special Ability.

It's a 'jink' on the d-pad or left-stick to 45 degrees either side of the direction your dribbling. It can be done at normal dribbling speed, or closer while holding L1, or faster by holding R2.

I think it works best once, to look as though your changing direction one way, then turn out the other way, it helps throw defenders ahead of you off, and they then have more ground to catch up.

what about the flip flap that ronaldinho does...in trinidad we call it the spanner

Don't think this is possible. Some guys have done this move but only with combination of other moves in PES4 and it didn't look so good.
As I don't have PES4 yet, I've tried to do that move in PES3 with combination of stepovers and BFF.
Here it is (as I know it is the closest You can get in PES3, don't know for PES4 yet):

As far as I know, there are no 'codes or cheats'. Practice and you will get better.
And if not, you can win everything on the 1* setting anyways.
