who's has played this game and who loves it can discuss about the happenings in the games in here.
My fave character Zhao Yun....as powerful as Ma Chao but quicker...classy musou and a less annoying general kill remark.

I love this series, there's nothing more fun then running around China cutting up those poor chinese.

My favourite kingdom place is Wu by far, and Character, that's a toughie, Ma Chao, Lu Bu, Guan Yu or Sun Ce.

They still can't get the voice overs right though.

I'm the same, can't get enough of the button bashing madness, real good to let some anger out. Although having to run from one area to another can be a bit boring and by the time you've got their you've forgotten why you're angry or why you've run there.

Haven't bought the new one yet, so I can't say how good it is, is there any new stuff to ride on, like the elephants in 4, they rocked hmy:

Dian Wei rules! Haven't played this since the 3rd, so I'll probably get this one. A bit easy at times, but fun nonetheless.

It would be nice to see people actually get squashed by the elephant or even had it so the elephant moved like a real elephant but it was a nice idea none the less.

Number 5 came out on friday.

And I've played a fair bit, so here's what I have to give.

1. It's the best DW game so far, easily

2. Each level is unique

3. There are Tigers

4. You can still ride elephants

5. More new characters, abiut 6 I think

Nah you cant ride them, unfortuneately.

But they attack you and you attack them. So there's a nice balance.

I remember Dynasty Warriors 2 was one of the first PS2 games I bought, I played that seemingly forever, 3 was great, 4 had poor level design and wasn't as fun, and Samurai Warriors was garbage.

Agreed on Samurai warriors, pure crap.

This however is different, I recommend DW5 to anyone, much better then the previous games.

It's a shame this series isnt advertised that much.

Shit, I forgot about this < orders it from play >. DW4 ws pretty fun, Zhou Tai (guy with the katana) was my favourite character. Ma Chao was godly but it just felt cheap playing as him. Also loved the Fu Xi CAW, love that sword.

Samurai Warriors would've been great without the indoor levels, god I hate them. Love katanas.

Oh yea, there's no CAW anymore. But that was pretty crap, trust me this game is better without it.

Bah, those indoor levels were terrible, I remember nearly every character had one in his story, so I would just play until I got to the indoor level, then quit and start with a new character.

As far as favorite character, I liked the guy with the huge sword and eyepatch, Xiahou Dun, I believe.

Oh yea, there's no CAW anymore. But that was pretty crap, trust me this game is better without it.

Is there at least a guy with a great sword?

There is a new guy (Guan Ping) with a similar weapon, so that should keep you happy.
