run at the defence when ur through one on one as the keeper gets close take the shot but press r1 straight after u press shoot! nice very little dink over the keeper!

As you typed that post, about 500 chipped goals were already being scored
It's a very common method of scoring in PES4.

Thankfully in WE8:LE they reduced the height of the R1 lob so that the max height is about waist-chest level so you have to only use it at the right time. And so you have to either go for the L1 lob or try to score a 'proper' goal by rolling it past the keeper.

why not just use a shot fake to get the keeper on the ground and just dribble by him right into the goal. I just did it with Gilardino just five minutes ago before signing on.

You can easily dribble the keeper and no need for shot fakes.

getting a shot fake isn't as easy as it was in we7 i just use the lob with L1 or shoot it smoothly if i got a player with good shot accuracy and shot technique

Use the R2 button and go round the keeper....it doesnt always work but if the keeper trips you he gets a red card and you get a penalty!

Really?? That sucks! It always made pretty goals from outside the box...

I don't think it's a problem since the game allows you to score proper goals now when through one-on-one so you can take your pick of any of the methods.

The L1 lob is pretty good too.

or u can just come to the keeper and press the r1 2 times and take one of the direction . you pass him easilly !!and its more safe
you know what the best way that it work is to tab a shoot to almost the 45%of the lenth while u move your arrow down and side way in same time like to one of the down corner

For some unexplainable reason, i am yet to master this 'r1' lob? when exactly do u use it? ive tried it tons of times in training and the player just shoots normally or skys it. with one-on-ones i tend to mix it up a bit but if its a tight game i do liek to R2 it round the keeper and entice the foul!

the lobs are pretty crap, and i dont want to risk fucking my shot up either, so's i just shoot under the keeper as he goes to ground to block my shot, or dribble round him. sorted.

Firstly there's no need to shout. And if all your goals are done by a cheap lob then it is because you know it will always work and the keepers are too rubbish to deal with it. It's a bug in the game and you're taking advantage of it. Not exactly "real footbal" is it?

well said zygalski, i get frustrated and bored when i play against certain people and concede to the same goal over and over again. Some players are scared of injecting the tiniest bit of creativity into their game at the risk of not winning, or not converting every possible chance.

You score from a lob, then i'll find 3000 non-lobby ways to score, lots of ways to score in PES, and i never, ever lob
