hello

i've done some pretty extensive PES3 editing on the PS2. Being the generous tosspot i am, i am always willing to share my memory card around my mates. However...

Everything looks perfect when i load up teams etc, but my mates complain that some players have been moved around (i.e. i have saved Arsenal with Reyes and Henry up front but when they start an Exhibition/Cup game using Arsenal, the starting lineup has Henry and Pennant up front)...ocassionally putting outfield players in goal etc. I check again on my own copy and everything is still ok as i left it....

I have tried getting them to delete their saved Cups, Leagues etc, as i thought these might reset position data etc, but it seems not to make a difference.....

anyone any ideas?????

Try using the edit team option in edit mode.
Then select the team that goes wrong and then go 2 edit team strategy. Then u should b able 2 substitute the players and make the correct starting line up

that's what i do....i edit the lineups on the EDIT TEAM STRATEGY screen, and everything's fine. But then my mate copies the option file from my memory card, and when we load it up on his PS2, some players aren't in the same squad positions as on my version...i.e Simon Davies might be net for Spurs, or Van der Meyde playing centre back for Holland - which is a pain in the arse cos we don't always check the lineups before kicking off...

its very odd and i really cant think of a reason for it happenening

Have u used ny update disks to update your option files because they can corrupt the files and cause all sorts of wierd stuff 2 happen
If u haven't I cant think of nythin else it can be
One way of sorting it is to delete your option file and start again - but that means a lot of editing

i havent used any update disks - it's all my own work! deleting my option file isnt really an option cos i've done hours and hours of editing....

yeah i did think about swapping Reyes and Pennant, to kind of force it to select the right players...but i fear the deeper i go, the more things i'll spot that are screwed up.

PLUS I noticed last night, that players are all over the place in my version too...BALLS. I started a league with club teams, and in my first game Vs Villa, they had their sub keeper up front, striker at the back and centre back in midfield. I'm all for advanced AI in opposition management, but i can't help thinking this wasn't a tactic. I quit the game, went straight to EDIT mode to check Villa in the EDIT TEAM STRATEGY section, and everything's fine - keepers where they should be etc etc. It's really pissing me off now cos i cant help feeling my victories are hollow when people are playing keepers up front against me!!

Grrr!!!

argh, this is doing my head in....some teams are fine and others's starting line-ups are not the same as ther edited team strategy. It wouldnt be so bad if like was replaced with like, but Chelsea starting with Kezman in net?! GRRR!!!

has this actually happened to anyone else????

hmmm, a new development:

it seems players only move around in cup/league matches. if u play a friendly, everything is perfect, but in competitive games, everyone's all over the place....WHY WHY WHY!?!? [slump]

balls, i think my mate has figured it out - its a pain in the arse to sort out, and to explain - so if anyone else has a similar problem let me know

I have posted a possible theory to this in the Internal Editing forum (in the How mutch have you edited PES 3? or something like that. But i have never saw anything as drastic as you are descibing, hope you can sort it out :)
