Euro 2004 tournament!

i tried a 5 - 4 - 1 formation.. i am trying to figure out how to effectively get a point from italy... it didn't work.. i am going to have to have a think about it..

Ok, do you guys all have the PS2 euro 2004 patch? if you do, then i'll map those stats from that, which I am doing now. Just finishing off Sweden's ones, i got their line up to a t, in the order it appears in the patch, so the stats you see in the patch, will be the stats that I will be using. Just gonna do the other teams that are playing friendlies.

I'm getting a little confused, it's Sweden V England and France V Croatia right? I'll have the teams sorted out in a few hours hopefully, so get me your tactics I'll simulate the games, then get you some highlights and match stats.

ok, but do you know the squad you can choose from? as in do you have and know about the players that have been added and taken away from the squad? ok, guess ya will if ya looked at the squad list.

hmm.. i just checked the sqaud.. all my players are there but Lantz.. can u sub him with a left footed midfielder from the squad.. i don't now many of their players.. i know a few but not all.. ohh and BTW... can we make the squad list a sticky thread in the Football Forum.. until the end of Euro 2004??

hello people just woke up, what happened to denmark vs germany? i was going to play against phatmann, well i think you missed the posts we two made so i hope you set up a match for the both of us cheers oh yeah one more thing how come half of my squad names are jensen ??? is that the only name they have in denmark

that is a very good idea!!, will help people out, if they need it as a reference guide.

Just a question to everyone else, if you are simulating games, are you using default PES3 lineup and squads, or you are using the euro2004 patch or the squad list on this forum? default squads wont be a good idea, just to let you know.

I'm gonna simulate 2 games later tonight, England v sweden and France V Croatia.

hey ppl a suggestion, i think 15min games r way better coz i tried 4 10min games, 2 which of ended goalless and one with a 1-0.. i thought there wasnt much time for the enthusiasm.. plus i dont think goalless games wud look good, way 2 boring.. wat ya think? 15 or 10?

i can't draw with Italy ! i played 3 matches and lost them all 1-0 playing offensively or defensively, oh well maybe with the new stats i'll be better, so my game with phatmann is tomorrow or what? and i want to know what happened in the friendlies tonight, perhaps post up the highlights too ??

I'll have that friendly you offered a day or two ago, if that's alright. A bit slow to get back to you - I haven't had a chance to check the thread.

So yeah, Italy vs The Netherlands.

I'll send you all the information you need some time tonight.

Just for the record, I thought odds of 12-1 were a bit long for the Dutchies, elfinke. In my experience they've always been the strongest side in PES games. Therefore, if I lose, or even concede a goal, or even concede a corner - the Euros will be a failure.

Also, just for the record - I'm going to be doing this without actually having any of the attributes of my players. I'm a new manager, who knows only of his squad what he's seen of them on the TV, or heard about them in the papers, and I'm just going to pick 'em and see what happens. Anyway, I trust Flipper's judgement on players 'n' stuff.

I'll run through my squad selections nearer the tournament.
