I tried simulating the euro 2008 tournament.

I made Group 1 Group A Group 2 Group B and so on

its supposed to be winner of group A vs runner up of group B

and winner of group B vs runner up of group A

same for C and D but for some reason for me it did Group A vs Group C and Group B vs D.


is this a pes programming problem?

I don't know but why not redo it so Group B and Group C are switched? Would that not solve the problem?

Nah, it won't fix it because the runners up then play in a different order.

Theres nothing you can do to remedy this - I am also playing a tournament similarly. I also tried to get every squad as near accurate as possible. The teams who I could get perfect teams for were France Italy, Holland, Spain... and erm... Switzerland.

Can you do this in Spectator Mode? I tried in Coach Mode, but if your team loses a couple games early, you're screwed.

You cant do the groups like this because originally it was done so if you wont group A you would play runner up of group C or D

Its only this year at Euro 2008 that they have changed the structure of the groups so that groups A and B will play each other till the final and groups C and D can only play each other

Bit rubbish if you ask me havin the same teams playin each other!

You can't do a tournament in spectator mode.

If you have 2 controllers, you could control every team, and put both teams on coach mode. I do that - but I play as one team for one half, then another for the other half. It's quite fun.

You'll either have to grin and bear it, or once you get to the quarter finals, create an 8 team Konami tournament and put the teams in their proper places. That would work if you wanted realism to that degree.
