Here it is, v2.0 of my official Evo-Web.co.uk X-Port Option File. Please read this text file carefully.

Have fun, Kezz

v2.01 fixes

- "Ruud van Nistelrooy" bug fixed. Many players erroneously got Ruud's face assigned due to a bug in an option file editing tool during CM 03-04 stats conversion

v2.0 changes/fixes/improvements (based on v1.0)

- Championship Manager 03-04 stats conversion for ALL club team/national players, making this game more realistic and challenging
- Checked all club team/national players' positions
- Assigned club team callnames to support Solidus' latest AIO v2 chant patch
- Database fixing (e.g. removed some recently retired/transferred players, replaced some national team players, some transfer work and including Latvia in place of Hungary)
- Bug fixing (minor stuff such as fixing the free agent pool (no more wrong Stam, Davids, Seedorf etc. to be found there now which could have resulted in double players when playing Master League), correcting many national team kit numbers etc...)

Included Zygalski's kit fixes when using patched kits:

1. All kits default (as they were).
2. All kit badges turned off.
3. All kit names and numbers in better colours+positions - It's not 1000% accurate but it looks much nicer than default.
Almost all the numbers are set to font type 2 (which was type 3 in WE7) as I think it looks the best, apart from Madrid and Anderlecht which are type 3.

This option file is meant to work perfectly with Jonboyo's latest patches since we included/replaced the same teams! Using this option file with other patches might result in some mixed up teams/players! As mentioned above, I also assigned club team callnames to support Solidus' latest AIO v2 chant patch which is also included in Jonboyo's latest files. You won't have to assign those callnames manually again when using this option file!

We replaced:

West Ham United -> Middlesbrough
WE Team -> VfB Stuttgart
PES Team -> Sampdoria Genua
Hungary -> Latvia

Important note: Even though many players got some really, really high stats due to the CM 03-04 stats conversion, this option file is perfectly balanced for making gameplay more challenging and realistic. Each hour I spent converting the stats for every single player was definitely worth it. No more "catch-up" flaws when running with Henry or Owen; watching Zidane splashing his real magic; challenge Viera bossing the midfield -> it's never been this realistic!

V1.0 features

- 100% English and corrected player names
- Corrected player shirt names
- Many corrected player faces
- Fixed double players for national teams ( Stam, Davids, Seedorf, Seol Ki-Hyeon, Song Chong-Gug, Lee Young-Pyo,
Park Ji-Sung, Lee Chun-Soo, Hidetoshi Nakata, Shinji Ono and Takahara replaced by their REAL counterparts )
- VFB Stuttgart, Sampdoria and Middlesbrough created inc. flags
- Updated transfers
- Some boots assignments
- Many formations redone, esp. for Premier League teams

How to use

Extract the "WE7I_jap_evo_web_optionfile_v2.0.xps" file to somewhere memorable
(e.g. Desktop). Find the file and double click on it, this should open up
the X-Port/SharkPort screen. If it doesn't, copy the file to your "savedgames"
folder which can usually be found at C:\Program Files\Datel\XPort 2\Savedgames or
use the "import saves" feature in the software.

When the software has loaded, you should see "WE7I JPN Evo-Web Option File" in
your saves database, click on this and select "v2.0" in the right hand window,
simply "Restore" this to your memory card, remembering to back-up your current
option file first.

Refer to the user instructions that came with the X-Port/SharkPort for details on
restoring and backing-up saves.

Once complete, boot up WE7:I with your memory card inserted and that's it.

Feedback & where to download

If you find any errors or have any suggestions to improve the option file, please
do not hesitate to post feedback in the relevant thread in the editing forum at Evo-Web. (which would be this thread )

GFK, looks great - but the link is not working.

Any alternatives?

EDIT: Bah! Link still not. . .linking.

The plot thickens...

Of course when I click on the new link, it replies with an evo-web page that smiles seductively, "The topic or post you requested does not exist."

evo-web, playing all hard to get. I think I'm in love.

Nevermind, all is well. She yielded to my charms at last.

An absolutely bang up job, GFK. Outstanding.

Teams like Spurs, Dortmund, etc, are more competitive now. All around, it won't be near as easy to waltz into a treble. I especially like the improvements in defenders - almost every team has some defensive spine, if not a wall like Bayern Munich.

Something digs at me a bit - While defenders across the board are much better, I'm a little concerned that almost every good or great defender has the 'Positioning' special ability. I haven't kicked off yet with the new option file, but I'm already having visions of being crushed by a side that has 2-3 CBT's with a brace or hat trick each from set pieces. Not good. :eek:

If you think that perhaps the 'Positioning' handouts were a tad overzealous, let me know. I noticed teams like Bayern and Chelsea, for example, have an entire starting back four with the ability. Wow.

So either way, I'm going to omit some or most of these.

Still, the best and most comprehensive option file yet. If you don't mind me saying, cheers mate.

EDIT: I'm going to test the 'Positioning' issue out - if it helps more defensively and doesn't put defenders up for the Golden Boot, why not.

You still play this game? They probably took the file down after all this time so you'll have to ask someone like Kezz at evo-web if they still have the file.
