Excessive Fouls - a glitch in WE9?

Having played WE9 and the PES5 demo, came to realize that there are less fouls on the latter. Even using R1 all the time, the fouls are not as many as WE9. In fact I thought that WE9 is much more challenging as it takes some skills to reduce the fouls. WE9 is almost like the real thing.
But now, (please tell me that I am wrong) Konami has tweak the game again on PES5. It is just like righting a wrong. Even though there are less fouls now, the fouls are nevertheless much more realistic. But why is Konami taking out the good stuff? No doubt We9 is much more difficult to play but nevertheless based on all the comments that I have read ,it has created a good challenge. Unwittingly. Now I am not sure.

The amount of stoppages in WE9 was neither a challenge or better. If it has been removed the game has improved.

The amount of needless fouls was ridiculous.

I used to hate the fouls on we9 whrn I first got the game but now I'm used to it because I have mastered it - however sometimes the refereeing decisions bordered on the rediculous like when I make a tackle and blantantly get the ball, the ref decides it's a foul. Oh and I hope they book players who tackle you from behind when your through on goal and the don't get the ball -this is annoying especially as chances are hard to come by.
