Thanks for that nedostizni. :)

It will be good to see how he does in the European PES3 championships in October.
Two of my friends will be there so hopefully they'll do well for the UK ;)

Tell me Zyg, in tournaments; what formation and strategies are the most common? I somewhere read that many players play 4-2-2-2, is that true? And what type of game most do play? Pressing, counter-attack?
If anybody else can answer this I am curious about that too :)

I've seen many players using many different formations in tournaments in the UK.
The finalists of the UK national league competition played with 4-2-1-3 and 4-1-2-3. Everyone has their own style. You have to fight to get the ball away from them and when you manage to get it, the tackle you with ease and go and score.... it's not easy.

sounds difficult indeed :) I hope to play you with PES 4 to improve... I think, according to what you say, the best way is to pass yourself out of trouble when you just won possesion.... Or do you guys dribble a lot?

I seen clips of that final on Gamer TV, the pes world champion was playing as france and the runner up was using a weeker nation i think...

Ive often used the 4-2-1-3 (usually with Juve) when playing other real opponents

It seems alot better as you have both a strong defence and attack, allowing you to burst foreward on the counter with alot of people.

If you decide to use a formation like this push the two forewards wide leaving one in the middle as it spreads the play and allows you to opend up defences more easily

(if you push up the offensive midfielder then it almost becomes a diamond formation upfront)

But my question still stands: Dribbling a lot or passing?

The perfect mixture I guess! The better players know how to do everything at the right time. They are also masters of the shot fake and are deadly with free kicks and corners.

I saw a picture where the 2 finalists were both playing as France too.
At least in PES4 we should see a better mix of teams! :)

I'm going to take after the mighty Samsam and stop playing the CPU

Interesting Zyg :) I myself has figured out that a corner towards the first post can be pritty dangerous, scored serveral goals from it against level 5.
Free kicks is something I need to practice more, just like dribbling.
I choose particular players to dribble. Playing with Juve I dribble with del Piero, Medved and Ibrahimovic, but not with Zalayeta, for instance.
I try to remember the qualities of particular players. E.g. Zalayeta and Medved are good in shots from distance, but Ibrahimovic is not.

With players so deadly in their finishing, what is the scoreline... 4-3 or so?
Not to mention if they play against lesser good players....

I can take him anyday, trust me  .
yeah Zyg, I noticed after playing the CPU everyday for like a month straight, made me play shite against humans. So I will definetly not play CPU so frequently.

EXCLUSIVE FOR ISS WORLD

Interview with Samad “Samsam“ Baism - World PES Champion for 2004.

Issworld: Tell me more about PES players in your country – do you have any organization, how popular is the PES in France?
Samsam: PES is very popular in France, there are many tournaments, federation, and official rankings... it is organized very well. You can see all of that on www.sports-video.net

Issworld: How long do you play Konami soccer games?
Samsam: Since they exist!

Issworld: Do you practice every day and how many hours during the day?
Samsam: I never play against the CPU, only with the best players of France. I play about 8 hours per week. And every two weeks I play a local tournament.

Issworld: What formation and strategy do you use, are you more of offensive or defensive type of player?
Samsam: I play in 4-3-3 formation with DMF, LMF and RMF. In attack, I place my RW close to the line of throw in, and I use two CF. I am not nor defensive nor offensive player, I change my strategy according to the adversary.

Viva Champion!

Issworld: What is your favorite club in PES and why?
Samsam: Inter Milan have the players that are necessary for my tactics. However, in France we always play with national teams.

Issworld: Who is your favorite player in PES and why?
Samsam: My favorite is Henry. He is the best!

Issworld: Are there people in France that play Winning Eleven more than PES?
Samsam: No, they play PES more than WE, because all tournaments are on PES.

Issworld: What is ESWC? I am interested about tournament for the Champion title too.
Samsam: The Electronic Sports World Cup is one of the greatest, hardest, and most prestigious video games competition featuring champions from all over the world. Each year, from national preliminaries to the grand finals, players compete each other’s in the most challenging and impressive disciplines. You can see more information in www.esworldcup.com

Samsam and X-side

Issworld: Was it hard to play in the finals, against the former champion X-side?
Samsam: Yes, because I played under a lot of pressure (4000$ for the game, played in front of 500 persons) and X-side was the European’s champion.

Issworld: Did you specially prepare yourself for the final tournament in Paris?
Samsam: No, because when you have your level it is not necessary to play a lot, it is necessary to converse rightly. After every match, soccer is different.

Issworld: Why are players in Europe using radar and names on the screen during the game?
Samsam: Playing with radar makes the game less complicated but more realistic, because you do not make random passes. I do not use names on the screen.

Issworld: Do players in Paris or in France organize local tournaments in there homes or game-clubs for friends?
Samsam: Yes, there are many tournaments and there are many clubs everywhere in France. I am a member of BIM TEAM.

Issworld: Who is also good in playing PES in France (individual or as a team)?
Samsam: There are a lot of good players in France like Djiin, Castell, No, Yus, Louk, Myto... and a lot of good clubs - The X-team, LAFC, TFC and for me the best - BIM TEAM.

Issworld: What are you expecting from PES4?
Samsam: To be realistic as possible!

Issworld: What do you think about differences between PES and FIFA soccer?
Samsam: Fifa is an arcade game and PES is a simulation.

Issworld: Do PES players in Europe have sponsors like professional sportsman?
Samsam: Not enough.

Issworld: I suppose that PES is your hobby, but can it be your professional work (because rewards are very big in tournaments – 10.000 USD)
Samsam: 10 000$ in a year is not enough to consider it as a professional work. However, if one day we earn like football player, why not.

Issworld: What do you do - working or studying? - And how old are you?
Samsam: I make engineer's studies in data processing and I am 24 years old.

Issworld: Did you ever been in Serbia and Montenegro?
Samsam: Unfortunately not, but I will be delighted to go there one day.

Pics are down but should be uploaded again soon.
