Hi! Its Jag again bringing information about a new proggy which will change the face of gaming! Enter HDLoader! HD = Hard drive but you knew that right?
Anyways, this program allows you to execute (Run) PS2 Games off your Hard disk without the need for the disk. Its similar to an X-Box although i wouldn't know as i havent ever played on one or even thought about playing on one
Therefore its a bonus for you when you cart your PS2 off to a mates. You dont have to carry all your games. All you need is your PS2.
The developers of HDLoader say you require a IDE Hard drive between 40-120GB. Preferably Maxtor.

Enhance Your Gaming Experience
The Playstation 2™ is capable of reading data from a hard disk drive much faster than it can read from a CD or DVD. Using HDLoader to run your games from a hard disk drive leads to significantly reduced game loading times. Never again will you need to endure painfully slow loading times which plague so many games!
HDLoader makes gaming more convenient by allowing you to store your games on a hard disk drive, eliminating the need to change discs each time you wish to play a different game.
Simple and Attractive Graphical Interface
HDLoader’s user interface is designed with simplicity in mind – boot up HDLoader and begin playing your games without wasting any time navigating through a complex user interface.
The intuitive user interface allows easy management of games currently installed on your hard disk drive. Add or remove games with the push of a button.
The interface is multi-lingual. Use HDLoader in your own language.
Excellent Compatibility
HDLoader offers excellent compatibility with your games – over 95% of games work flawlessly when running from your hard disk drive.
HDLoader is compatible with both standard IDE hard disk drives and the official Playstation 2™ hard disk drive.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Before you can use HDLoader, you will need the following:
1. An official Sony PS2 network adapter, as shown below.
Either type (Ethernet only, Ethernet and Modem) can be used.
2. A suitable hard disk drive. You have two options here - the official Sony hard disk drive, or a standard IDE hard disk drive with a capacity of AT LEAST 40GB. If you use a standard IDE drive, you will need to make sure that it actually fits into your network adapter. There are a few known compatibility issues with some non-Sony hard disk drives, please see the compatibility section for more information. Both a Sony and standard IDE hard disk drive are shown below.
3. A PS2 with a "DEV9" expansion port. All PS2's will have this expansion port except for the first three Japanese models (SCPH 10000, SCPH 15000 and SCPH 18000) which have a PCMCIA expansion port instead. These models are not supported by HDLoader.
How to connect a hard disk drive to your PS2
If you have an official Sony hard disk drive, then please install it according to the directions in its manual. If you will be using a standard IDE hard disk drive, then please install it according to the following directions.
The first step is to make sure that the hard disk drive you intend to connect to your PS2 will actually fit into your network adapter. Check that the IDE and power ports on your hard disk drive properly align with the IDE and power connectors on your network adapter, as shown below.
Configure the jumper setting on the hard disk drive so it is set to MASTER. To find the correct jumper settings for your hard disk drive, either check the label on top of the hard disk drive or consult your reference manual.
Attach the hard disk drive to the network adapter by lining up the IDE and power ports/connectors and pressing firmly, as shown below.
Carefully slide the hard disk drive into the PS2 expansion bay as shown below.
Push until the network adapter is connected to the back of your PS2, then screw in the screws on the back of the network adapter to secure the hard disk drive and network adapter in place as shown below.
Congratulations, you have successfully connected a hard disk drive to your PS2!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Its simple really! You can even store backups of games if you have lost your original. Just slide baby slide. You dont even need a modchip. Just one more thing before I press post "SUBMIT NEW THREAD"
Check out the game stored on the hard drive second from bottom!
