Its shit isn't it. PS3 or 360 ... Doesn't really matter, both will come with faults.

At the end of the day it's us, the customer who loses out.

Maybe I should develop an online gambling problem. Probably a better way to spend my money ...

Had the 3 red lights a month back - MS were really good with dealing with the situation. Collected next day and recieved the unti back within 2 days. I feel for you to lose ot for a month and especially of the Chrimbo period.

I've now bought a NYKO Intercooler unit to plug on the back. It's sounds lduder, but what the fuck at least it should extend the life of the 360 by supplying additional cooling.

Also after some intense web browsing and homework, it turns out that the dreaded 3 red lights issues maybe directly linked with the last big dashboard update (the one that included 1080p and Video Playback), or at least most American's thinks so as most peoples 360's seem to be dropping out after this major update.

I don't get online with my 360 so Ive never updated it. Thats the thing though, MS can't even tell me what I can do to reduce the likelihood of it happening again.

I asked them if it was an overheating problem, or if I was somehow misusing the 360 ie instead of turning it off, I leave it on while I go eat, or answer my phone or whatever ...

My response was along the lines of, I only work in support, I don't know the ins and outs of specific causes to problems.

Talk about Pass the Buck ...

At the end of the day I don't care about getting it fixed and losing it for a month or whatever ... But the fact MS can't guarantee it won't happen again, and the fact my warrantee is about to expire doesn't fill me with confidence.
