Hey ive been reading all of the topics and discussions about this face scan, and i was wondering if its true that you can't upload a picture of a usb stick and use that, so therefore you have to purchase one of these eyetoy things?? is this true that theres no way around it?

yep its true for the minute at least. Only eye toys or weirdly the Xbox 360 vision camera works on PS3
