I managed to watch a mate play the early parts of Dead Space and he was shitting himself quite bad..

Doesn't the AI annoy you? Some sniper started taken shots at me from a mile away.
Fuck sake, I was playing this the other day and I got stuck.
I was on a rescue mission and I had to clear out this area, I killed everyone, went inside the building where the buddy was being held captive and released her, I then saved. Bad decision.
The objective is still to rescue the buddy, even though I have already done that. She just wanders around the building then disappears. I've tried driving away, but the objective never clears. I cant do any missions until this one is finished. So it looks like im stuck forever - I was only around 15% in, but I dont want to start again.

What a nightmare.
I've just got the game and I was very surprised at how much I am enjoying it.
Only thing that annoys me is the standard shooting mechanics. Very generic compared to others out there, however the mood, setting and sound design is fantastic. The setting is very well done.
A great game that is really cheap!

My original thoughts weren't the best, and I couldn't get into the game at all. The first few missions had me disorientated, but since it's become more free roam I have enjoyed it more. The major thing I hate more than anything else is being randomly chased by every goon for no reason. Guard posts have become like a Dmitris post, and I avoid them with whatever means necessary. A lot of the time the travelling to and from missions is more difficult than the missions themselves.
There are many brilliant ideas, such as healing and gun jams, but unfortunately they always happen at the worst possible time. The travelling is tedious and annoying at times but most of that is down to being driven into a ditch every minute, or the invisible snipers with amazing vision.
I've returned it now (was a rent from lovefilm) to try out some other games, but I may get it again in a few weeks to complete it.

Man, this game is awesome online man!! Its really got a lot better since ive been playing online... Single player is awesome, but online is even better.
Just came off playing a match with about 20 other people, I was on the APR side, and I was fighting the mighty UFLL or whatever, It was a team deathmatch
Anyway, I kept choosing the standard machine gun at first, but then halfway through I decided to give the sniper rifle a go, and man, thats the best decision ever lol I was just sat up on a ledge, getting headshots all the time man....I was shooting their snipers into the ground, they couldnt get a clear shot of me!
Was a great game, finished up 73 - 40 to the APR!!!!! My first ranked match I played and my team won, and to top it all off, I finished joint 2nd with one other dude

I hated online because it was impossible to kill people before they killed you. I get no lag whatsoever on every other online game so that cannot be the reason I cant kill people. Sometimes it took a whole round of an AK, plus a few extra just to take someone down. And sniping, jeez, whats the point if it takes about 3 shots to kill.
Oh, and the weapons dealer missions, what the fuck, I place explosives on the road and wait for the truck to drive over then boom, mission complete. With only two other vehicles in the patrol (with 2 men in each) it should be easy to take them down during the aftermath, right? No. Im not exaggerating when I say I was there for 20 minutes fighting off about 40 guards, they just seemed to spawn from nowhere. Just when I thought i'd finished another few turn up. FUCK OFF.
