to be fair with the problems playing online you'll not be using it much anyway! you do get a 30 day free trial with xbox though so you'll still be able to download the update free of charge

I was facing the same dilemma a few weeks back. I chose a PS3, because the amount of stories regarding hardware problems with the 360 is a disgrace. It's no wonder Microsoft increased the warrenty to 3 years. I don't care if it's free, I do not wish to have to ship my gaming console off for repair for x amount of weeks, only to have it return, albeit fixed, but with the same rate of failure in play. And what happens when the warrenty expires...

Regarding online. Playstation Network is free. Where as X-Box Live requires monthly subscription fees. Come the end of this console generation those monthly fees will have closed the price gap between the two consoles, if not taken 360 costs over that of the PS3.

And I believe the PS3 controller is the best on the market. Throw in the Blu-ray player and the cost of a PS3 starts to justify itself.

Metal Gear Solid 4, God of War III, Resistance 2, Little Big Planet, and Motorstorm: Pacifict Rift, are PS3 exclusive, I believe.

360 and ps3 are the same. Well maybe there's a difference in Online, and edit mode. On the 360 you have to have the camera for sponsors and ps3 has the import from hard drive thing.

In terms of pricing, you may go for xbox.. but for future.....i think ps3 will be the most of choice...let me tell you, i had upgrade my ps3 hdd storage to 320GB and from playstation store, you can see a lot of possibilities could be happen on ps3 console.......definitely next-gen console, but the game developers haven't full utilize it...

both are good, I personally prefer the ps3 version because I own a ps3, and because online service is free.

But, it depends on what u want, look at both consoles, and their exclusive games.
if you like Halo, Gears of war, then u would prefer the 360, but if u like Metal gear solid 4, resistance 2, little big planet, then u would prefer the ps3.
also, a ps3 is also a blu-ray, which is great in watching movies if u like movies and plan to buy a hdtv in the future. xbox is also great at watching movies by buying them online from their own store, but it's a digital copy and not a disk.

also, don't forget that xbox usually break easily (RROD I'm guessing?), but that doesn't mean ps3's don't break, my friend replaced his ps3 twice, and he had the 80 GB version, I didn't, and I have the 60 GB version.

anyway, in the end it's what u prefer... look online for cons for both consoles and choose with what ur heart desires..

well there pretty much identical for pes, have a look at other games that the consoles have which in my oppionion xbox has a far better selection, but to each his own.
