I don't remember that I ever played any of the PES/winning eleven titles because of reviews!!!
Whenever I picked up the controller to give fifa a try it takes about 1-2 min before I throw the controller away (walk out of game store). All the fifa games are an insult to football.
I tried the demo of fifa 09, it has improved slightly over the garbage that's fifa 08. but still pes 08 on my ps2 beats it.
I think the simple answer to any fifa is better discussion should be "yeah..yeah ...whatever...go play your fifa".
"1-2 minutes" are the key words here. If that's how long you think it should take to get used to a football game, how the fuck do people like your good self come to the conclusion that Pro Evo is much more in depth than Fifa? Ever so slightly contradictory.
Once again i challenge anybody to master the advanced controls in Fifa and then come back to me and say that it is still shit. If you do then you have no idea about football.

what I said was the gameplay of pes08 on PS2 is better than fifa08 on ps3, at least that's what i've tried.
I can't get used to fifa because it's disgusting. The gameplay sucks! Ok so I give you credit, fifa09 demo I played for about 5~10 mins max and that's it.

I wonder what fifa lovers see in that game. Don't you (fifa lovers) feel irritated at the linesmen? They never wave that flag. Don't you feel sleepy with the slow pace of the game?
With pes 2009 left-stick-moves-and-tricks you can really feel now that you are playing football while you're just playing game. Why? Because when you move the left-stick because of your reflex to beat the defender, the resulting player movement is very (very x10) satisfying esp. when you manage to beat that defender.
It feels just like when.. "you have the ball, then you see the defender left foot tackle is approaching, out of just reflex and years playing amateur football your right foot suddenly push the ball to the left with your left foot ready to quickly push the ball forward, and you get past the defender!!!" --> translate to wiggle diagonally left then suddenly forward with the left stick.
To my knowledge, in the full FIFA game the linesmen do wave their flags. Its funny how pedantic you have to get to find a flaw btw.
The full FIFA game is MUCH better than the FIFA demo.
FIFA 2009 is faster than PES 2009.. so calling it slow is stupid.
PES 2009 makes it too easy to beat a defender. A simple direction change will leave a leftback controlled by the AI rooted to the spot. FIFA 2009 makes you work harder for width and space outwide.
I'm sorry but if you think a quick foot maneavour can be translated to worldclass football then you're an idiot. PES and FIFA aim to represent the game at its best, and a quick/cheap directional change is not representing the best of football, period.
FIFA has a few problems. Unresponsive goalkeeping is one. Secondly, I'd go for the shooting system (althoguh PES 2009's shooting system also has its flaws).
