I got the game on the 360, and I'm really enjoying it so far. Be a pro mode is great. The only thing that's bothering me is that it's quite difficult, if not impossible to score from far out. But all in all I'm very impressed. PES has it all to do now.

I'm very impressed as well, had quite a few online games with some people willing to pick teams like Brighton when I do so, and played an epic Braga vs PSV and Hull City - FC Groningen.

Though most still pick Liverpool or Man Utd when I play Birmingham :fplm:

No doubt only because of the away kit, yes?

I'm thinking about getting this. Hearing a lot of good things about it, but the thing is, I did enjoy the PES2009 demo, so still unsure.

How is online?

Probably the best Online experience out there for the PS3 along with CoD4 - with a half-decent connection it's completely lagless and is just as good as if you were playing someone by your side.

Although, the menu screen froze yesterday. :fplm:

Great mate, 10 vs 10 awesome.

There should be a disclaimer on this statement, 10 v 10 is great if those playing will actually play properly... fucking idiots wandering out of position or just plain disregarding their position fucks me right off. In my last game I was playing CB and LB as the left back was playing as an attacking midfielder. If you get a good group though it's fantastic.

The difference between Fifa 09 online and PES 2008 online is unbelievable.

It kinda sucks that 10 vs 10 (loads of off-sides, everybody thinks they are Maradona, the camera is odd) but the regular games are excellent.

I've only played 2 10v10 games, but after the first one I changed the camera to the normal Tele one that you use in 1v1's. It's a LOT easier, especially when there's the slightest hint of lag.

Totally agree with you.

Anyone find that if you start winning by more than 2 goals people just quit?

I am really surprised at how good this game is. Its the closest thing to football out there.

The PES 09 demo barely scratches it.

I just played as Inter on Xbox Live and scored a stunner with Queresma and the other guy who i was playing with, didn't let me upload my goal. :(

Fuckin' plonker.

10v10 is great if the people you play with know anything about positions etc...the other day we were everton and some guy thought Yobo was a striker-very annoying! i watched the opening video of FIFA and during it it shows it as snowing during a match however ive yet to see any sort of weather change....?

Can you choose what position you play in 10v10? Also, if one of the 20 players quits, does the whole game stop or is that player automatically truned into a CPU?

Yes, you can choose any position on the pitch - other than GK - or alternatively you can pick "ANY" which means you aren't a fixed player and you'll be in control of any non-fixed players. If someone quits and there is a player on ANY, the player on ANY will be able to control the formerly fixed player. However, if there is nobody on fixed, when the player in charge of the fixed player quits, the CPU will take over.

What do you think of the new Fifa?

Are you still getting PES?

Oh and did you like the PES 09 demo?

I really like the new Fifa, although there are a lot of things that still bug me about it i.e. the advantage rule, red cards for nothing, commentary.

I'll still be buying PES although if the online is as bad as PES2008, I won't be owning it for long.

I wasn't a fan of the PES demo, but then again I wasn't a fan of the Fifa demo either.

If the commentary in FIFA bugs you, God knows what you think of PES. I really like Tyler and Gray, I don't often hear repeats and there's nothing that really grates.

It would be amazing for the next FIFA if they had Tyler and Gray plus another team to provide variation - maybe Ian Darke or Rob Hawthorne along with Alan Smith or Brian Marwood.

"Don't sneeze on anyone, lads." :fplm: I've always preferred the PES commentary. It'd be good for Fifa or PES to get more than just 2 commentators to add a bit of variation, I agree.
