XBOXers get a replacement if their console gets the red-ring-of-death, am I right?

Mine broke sent it off and they wouldn't repair it because i apparently "tamperd" with my console. I have read about this happening to alot of people..so Microsoft are just lying wankers basically. I know someone who's had 11 different 360's now due to rrod.

Downloaded it, it feels alot different to 08 the passing and movement is alot more responsive, takes a couple of games to get used to the feel of the game , it has a similar transition to Fifa 07 to 08. The graphics are top notch, overall feels like a great game and can't wait for the final version.

So. Downloaded the PC and PS3 demo.

Real Madrid vs Chelsea, won 9-1. I scored first from a scrimmage, then decided to check out the penalty shoot-outs, so walked the ball into my own goal. To pass the time, I started messing about with the "tricks". Sneijder on the left flank, did some sort of heel trick, wanted to cross the ball but accidentally hit the shooting button, which resulted in a goal (from well over 35m, from the fucking sideline). A bit confused, I then decided to try out how 'good' the keepers are. Needless to say, I only managed to fit 7 more goals in from practically all over the field before I got bored and went back to trying out tricks again.

This isn't football, EA. If I buy a football game I want to be challenged by intelligent opposition. Sure, this may have been set on amateur or something, but I don't particularly find the movement of my fellow team mates all too intelligent either.

And then there's the gameplay. As usual, the 'ball on a string' gameplay is back. You can make freak 360 turns with a defender in your neck and the ball just magically sticks to your feet. You never really have the idea you're controlling a human being who is controlling a ball. It just feels like you control either a human, or a human with a third testicle.

Graphics wise, sure the players look like they're supposed to, but only if you zoom in properly. Otherwise the game looks rather bland and edgy. As usual the goal celebrations is where all the bling bling appears on your screen, which is ironically the screen you'll be seeing way too often.

I played some more games on the PC, but alas, the same problems persisted.

Overall conclusion, FIFA 09 is probably a good game for children who want nothing more than seeing their footballing idols on their screens, and don't mind about the freak score lines or unrealistic gameplay. Fifa 09 the best football arcade game, nothing more.

For fans of realistic football, I just don't see how this game would even come close to appeasing you. It's the same old reason why you started playing PES in the first place, unrealistic football, not a single challenging game, all about commerce.

I'll pass, once again.

*EDIT* Oh, and I can't even begin to tell you how annoyed I am you can't change the movement to the d-pad.
