Can someone please tell me if during season/manager mode, ridiculous results still happen week in, week out?
That was one of my main gripes with previous Fifa games. You'd get Arsenal losing 2-1 at home to Hull or something. Completely unrealistic. ¬_¬
But yeah, there'd be something silly happening every week, like Liverpool getting beaten at home 4-1 by Everton, Chelsea losing at home to Blackburn etc. The results generated seemed awful random at times, which kind of spoiled the league table.

about unrealistic results, i think they've been reduced somehow, i am playing a season and i have arsenal, chelsea in the top 3 along with tottenham. Man utd which i am playing with is 8th and liverpool 9th and i have a match to play.
There is no fifa fan shop so everything is unlocked since the beginning, there are lots of balls and stadiums and 3rd kits, what i noticed though was the introduction of 2 teams: china and panathanaikos.

I’ve just picked up a copy of Fifa 09 on the puss3..i managed to trade in some of my 360 games as its broken and only had to pay £7 extra.
I have to say the game is very impressive and seems much better than the demo..there’s a lot more animations in the full version and maybe this is why. One I was really impressed with was when I played Celtic there player hit a shot straight at my keeper and chose not to pass to the player in a better position, the other player was then complaining about this by waving his arms up and down in frustration. I also scored a cracking header with Berbatov..you could see him slightly pushing the defender away to get enough space to header the ball first..it looked so real!
The game flows really well and it just seems so more realistic, you don’t get any odd running animations or anything like in pes.
At the moment Fifa 09 just seems way ahead of pes2009 and it’s going to be very hard for Konami to change this if they continue to be lazy and ignore the fans. I really recommend giving this game a try!

Right, I picked it up for £29.71 from Tesco this morning, who say they're selling it the cheapest. Cheapest or not, it's still cheap.
Really enjoying it at the moment, although I'll post my thoughts later this evening. I was just wondering if anyone had encountered a bug online yet, where an opposition player disappears?
I had it playing as Utd vs. Liverpool. It was fine for 80 mins, but after that, Dirk Kuyt disappeard off my screen. You'd see the ball moving when he was in possession, but not the player, forcing me to clear everything when it was along my back four because I didn't know where he was.
Ugh.
Still, very enjoyable indeed.

First game I lost 2-0 to Bournemouth as Luton, despite hitting the bar with a 25-yard dipping volley from Kevin Nicholls. In the rematch I won, Lewis Emanuel with a neat finish from a tight angle before Keith Keane took it on his chest and swivelled to volley home after a knockdown from a corner to seal it in the dying stages. Very good game, the commentary is a particular stand-out.
But one disappointment - why such a low number of international teams? There's less national teams that PES. I fully expected this game to have the likes of Armenia, Albania, Faroes, etc.
