After me and Zoolander went for the Sligo Rovers/Galway Utd epic last night (which died due to my shit connection), I played my first online game against someone. Now you have to understand I am fucking shit at this game. He was Liverpool, and I was Birmingham. And I won 2-0. Despite being down to 10 men for 85 minutes. Whoever that guy was he must be absolute wad.

You beat me.

Just kidding, although my online ranking has improved over the last day or so. I was 2-5, but I've managed to pull it back to 5-5, with wins as Cardiff over Real Madrid (2-2 in game, 5-4 on Pens I think), 4-0 over Bolton (guy disconnected on me near the end) and 1-0 over Milan (again, guy disconnected at about 70 minutes, so I got a 3-0 win instead) - Playing as small teams is win, especially if you're not very good, like me.

It helps because I go in with the attitude that I'll probably lose the game anyway, due to so many people online wanting to go huge teams all the time. It's annoying, because these same people bash PES for not having enough teams, yet they don't even use them given the chance on Fifa.

I know 'Be A Pro' is 4 years. But how about the proper career etc

Perhaps I'm not as bad as I thought - beat Arsenal as Stoke on pens, lost 1-0 to Rangers as Aberdeen, and beat Spurs 3-1 as Reading. I don't understand why people don't play as the shit teams.

I think it could be either 10 or 15 seasons.

Got it this morning so far so good, I won my 1st online game 2-0 I was Arsenal the other guy was Newcastle.

- Ryan Taylor (Rotherham United)

After my first few games or so, I've put the difficulty up to Professional (I am awful on FIFA compared to Pro) - it's led to a very interesting tussle between me and erm... Manchester City at the top of the Premiership on Manager mode - I play them next, they have a two point lead at the moment (Man U are 1 point behind me).

I honestly think FIFA10 will be extremely good - FIFA09 has got very realistic, but in trying to include everything its allowed for a few glitches, if these are removed for a years time, it could be a very very excellent game. At the moment I'd put it on a par with PES2008 (I am not one of those over-reactors who think that PES2008 was the worst game ever)

Being realistic doesn't necessarily make it a better game. For instance I mean stuff like the licensing, presentation are realistic, and in the gameplay I think such things as the positioning for set pieces, and player reactions (hand gestures, being tackled) are excellent.

The core gameplay isn't in the same league as Pro Evo though, because FIFA can't nail the passing.


And ThierryHenry14, I am playing below World Class difficulty because I am not at that standard - simple as that.





And another thing, what is with the sudden use of the head in palm emoticon? It's the most arrogant one I've ever seen on any forum.

Is it possible to sign for bigger and better clubs throughout the 4 year period that BAP lasts for? Will I get offers from different clubs when my stats go up, and once I impress bigger teams??

It would be cool if you could take Ryan Taylor from League 2 Rotherham to a top, top european side

It is an excellent addition - I don't know about FIFA09, but on the Euro game I had a game saved with my mate where we were both youngsters in the same England team - that would be brilliant on FIFA 09. Although the transfer aspect may be a bit awkward.
