I really pissed off some guy last night. He was Marseille and I was Birmingham. He went 3-1 up on 79 minutes, but I got two in the last 10 minutes to take it to extra time. But he quit before it could start. He knew.

You can't eventually switch club in Be a Pro mode can you, because I don't really want to be stuck with shitty Cork City, when my player is easily good enough to start for Barcelona.

:erm: I'm at Rotherham as Reuben Reid, I'm still in season 1; I'm top scorer, first-team captain, my overall rating has increased a lot and I have recently been called up to England Reserves. Surely a better team than Rotherham will want to sign me, at the end of season 1? Can you move clubs?

I will be very angry if you have to stay with same club , I would find it very stupid when the objective is to play in world cup final at the end of the 4 seaons :erm::fplm::mellow:

Udinese - Barcelona 1-0
Eintracht F. - Milan 3-0
Getafe - Liverpool 1-0
St. Etienne - Man Utd. 1-2
Ulsan - Roma 0-2
West Ham - Bolton 1-0

I'm the first team in this line.

:smug: Udinese's front-line is very good, as is Saint Etienne's.

Well, FIFA 09 is certainly realistic.

I've still not worked out free kicks really, I can hit the target but never really trouble the keeper... :(

Same here really, I managed to score two, both as Deco. I placed one into the bottom corner by using a unique amount of curl, and the second free-kick hit the bar and apparently crossed the line.

Other than those two, I just hit them straight at the keeper.

for free kicks i managed to score 5 so far with 5 different people, i generally aim at the goal kepper then hold RB (on the xbox 360) and tap B then hold the direction stick to where i was to curl it and it generally goes close get a corner out of it or it goes in.

still cant do corners though hate them.

I think I've managed to score only one free kick so far, it was with C.Ronaldo. I aimed way off to the right, and while I was taking it it I kept left pressed and the ball took a wicked curl and swung right into the top corner. It was beautiful.

Bought this game on Saturday and am getting into it a wee bit.

Very hard to get used to after years of PES but hey. Started a Manager Mode as Macclesfield Town on World Class. Pretty good.

There's something missing though. Something even the PES09 demo gives me. I dunno. Great game though. For the first time since FIFA 97, well done EA.

Surely people can't answer that question as PES 2009 hasn't even been released yet ? Apparently the FIFA 09 demo isn't a patch on the full game, and according to reports the PES 2009 demo isn't as good as the final build. Therefore at the moment, FIFA 09 fans are just comparing the final version of FIFA 09 to the PES 2009 demo, which is obviously unfair.

I enjoyed the FIFA 09 demo, but I'm absolutely loving the PES 2009 demo. I can only buy 1 game as money is tight, so based on the demos and the general feel of them both, I'm definetely going to buy PES 2009.

I know that people can't judge against PES09 - that's why I'm asking gamers who has been playing PES for the last 5-10 years, why they have shifted over to FIFA this year. ;)
Personally I'm feeling lured into FIFA this year - but I've been "loyal" to PES since ISS Pro Evo1 because I haven't felt that FIFA was up to scratch. This year though I feel that FIFA (compared to PES08) is as decent a game as PES.
Sure the near perfect and very varied animations do attract - but is the game deep enough to make it as good? Players who has played PES for so many years ought to have a deep enough insight to what "we" like as good gameplay to state a fair and unbiased view.
That's why I asked the question I did - the way I did. Hope it cleared things up a bit.
Personally I'm still leaning a bit towards PES - but not more than I can easily be tipped towards FIFA. I just want to secure as much as I can that I'll be making the right decission.

I struggle with corners and I think I've only ever scored from one once. The set pieces take a lot of getting used to, they're rather different to PES.

the thing I love about FIFA this year is simple things such as all the different animations; for example, if one of your players is standing behind you and you want to pass to him, there's about 5 different variations of pass type that your player will use... also, no slide tackles are ever the same, the player you tackle always falls differently. Simple things like that all add up!

On another note, as much as Adriano's stats aren't the greatest, I've scored a good few crackers with him online and he seems an overall good player.
