Is it possible to actually use the premier league ball anymore because If i select it now, its always replaced with that world cup ball when the match starts.

Just wondering, is there any particular reason EA are failing to update squad lists? I mean I've still got the likes of Afonso Alves at Middlesbrough, no sign of their starlet youngster Robson etc. I was playing a random match online with a mate (Newcastle vs. Boro - derby match today) and I realised I may as well have had Ray Parlour, Ravenelli, Juninho and Emerson at Middlesbrough the squad is that out of date. I checked online but there's no squad updates to download, EA need to get a grip on things. I'm not asking for updates every week, just updates with obvious transfers otherwise it's useless.
Oh and I didn't realise how much stuff you have to pay for from the FIFA 10 store, fuck my life are EA horrible cunts.

Shocked at this myself, so I took it into my own hands and updated the teams my mates and I would use, so its all good.
You up for a game later/tomorrow?

That's the problem, me and my mate who I usually play with pick completely random teams for matches (the random function is God's gift to mankind) so there's no real way I can come close to updating everything properly.
I might be on for a game or two tomorrow, depends how busy I am really. Think I might be going out for a meal considering it's Mother's Day, and I've got some Uni work to do - otherwise I'd be going to the Fulham game since my mate has plenty of spare tickets, urgh.

What the fuck are you on Hunter? The only thing you may consider a necessary purchase from the FIFA store is Live Season and plenty of people aren't interested in that and as it's an ongoing service I don't think it's unreasonable to charge for it. Anything else in the FIFA store is purely optional.
As for squad updates, mine is fine on the PS3, furthermore EA were the first to provide free squad updates in any case.

Just noticed the premier league ball for real has changed..i wonder if this is why you can't use it on Fifa anymore?

Came to a very sad realisation just 20 minutes or so ago, PES is dead. I knew it's days were numbered on the next-gen console, we all did, but after playing FIFA 10 for a relatively lengthy period of time now, I switched PES back on after becoming somewhat disgruntled with some of FIFA's shortcomings. After playing PES 2010 for 1 minute, it hit me real hard that the PES franchise is no longer relevant, it's genuinely difficult to comprehend right now.
On the one hand it's simply sad the PES franchise is done, but on the other we shouldn't necessarily have brand loyalties when it comes to pure entertainment such as gaming. There's just so many niggly flaws in FIFA that it does frustrate me at times, the biggest being the lack of custom team in Manager Mode. I loved nothing more on the old PES's than to create my own team from scratch, kit, name, everything, it gave the whole career a back-story, a real sense of ownership to the team. Of course PES no longer has this, but then again, PES is dead. Step it up FIFA, put that final nail in the Konami coffin, no matter how painful for us.

Has anyone tried playing any Pro Ranked or Be A Pro Season matches recently? I can't complete a game. It started with Pro Ranked matches, so I thought it might be an online issue, but now it's affecting off-line Pro matches.
Online, I have played two games in a row and both times I've played as someone else's VP, while I watch someone else mishandling my VP. On top of that, anytime the game pauses - be it someone pressing the start button or half time - the game freezes. Same thing happens off-line.
Has anyone else experienced these problems?
Head To Head online and other 11v11 game modes are fine.
EDIT: Scratch that last comment. Head To Head matches online won't start.

What's everyone's formation when playing online?
I use the 4-3-3, with customized player's attacking arrows. I have a decent record when using that formation online.

I tend to rotate, depending on the team I pick. I've actually saved quite a lot of formations from other teams. Currently, the formation I use online is Genoa's 3-4-3. However, the formation I've been using on Manager Mode with Hereford is a 4-2-4 I recently created:

The EA servers are piss poor. I was battering a guy for the entire match, but it was somehow 2-2 come 90 minutes. I had 14 shots with 12 on target and he only had two shots. Seriously, I cannot finnish to save my life. My goals to shots ratio must be truly woeful. Anyway, I score a third goal about five minutes into extra time and he doesn't look like coming back. About 3 minutes from the end of the game, he decides to make a substitution. The game freezes and all I can see is the camera sweeping the stadium. I send a message to the guy asking him if the game has frozen for him, too. He replies; he confirms it's frozen for him too and tells me I'm unlucky. I ask him to do the honourable thing and quit, since I was winning - I did for someone who was beating me. Funnily enough, the guy does not reply. I wait three mintes, before quitting myself. My DNF is already high enough because of disconnections, so it seemse unfair that I should also be deducted points for something that is not my fault.

I have a player in manager mode who only scores hat tricks. I play him regulary, and he hardly scores, and then out of nowhere: hat trick. This is going on a lot now, he has 18 goals atm and 5 hat tricks, scoring some petty goals here and there.
Freezing during substitution also happens to me about 3 times. It was all in the same day! I had to quit in all of it. I've never thought about sending the guy a message to quit, as in one of it, I was leading. :/
Anyway, earlier, I beat a guy 5-2. He was Fulham, and I was Birmingham. Fair play to him, as he initially chose Barcelona, but opted to change when he saw me choosing Birmingham. He took the lead first, then, one of his defenders was sent off. It was all me after that. Jerome scored all 5 of my goals too!
As, the next match, I was playing another person, he played as Inter, when I had Stoke highlighted. I should've beaten him as I had more shots on target, and hit the post three times. It ended 3-1 after extra time. All of his goals were from counter attacks, which really annoyed me. His style was to round off the keeper, and pass it to a teammate and put it into the empty net.

I'm playing Manager Mode with Triestina and after winning three of my four pre-season friendlies on Professional (including a 2-1 comeback win over Tottenham Hotspur for which my home crowed let out a huge roar at the final whistle), I switched to World Class this morning for the start of the league campaign.
I've played one game which was against Ancona. I was 2-0 behind within 20 minutes and didn't realise untll the 55th that I'd had a central defender sent off for giving away the penalty that put them two ahead. Despite that, I won 3-2 without changing formation thanks to an late winner for Luigi Della Rocca :>
