I personally loved 360 dribbling it doesn’t smash you in the face and say “here I am look at me!” It just blends with the whole game to the point where you don’t even notice it anymore. Everything is so much more fluid now and players really feel like they move and react naturally. Now sprinting with 360 some are worried about but don’t! It’s not full 360 when you sprint that’s correct but it’s not 8 directional either I’d say it’s about 16 directions. But it works really well because at full speed no one can run in circles or dance around in real life anyway. When sprinting at top speed you have to bend your runs away from the defender gradually not in sharp drastic movements, it feels really nice.

I knew that it would be hard to implement a 360 degree movement while sprinting.

By the way, 16-direction movement is already in FIFA 09.

I hope that they can include more national teams.

I hope they include either the Russian league OR at least teams like Zenit, Shakhtar, CSKA etc in the Rest of the World group...

also: will this one be like FIFA 10 (Road to world cup?) and have the full world cup mode as a tournament?

I know this isn't really a big deal, but I also don't think it'd be too hard for EA to do...
you get Adidas Live Updates so how about being able to update the players' boots? as I say it's not a big deal but it'd just add t the realism of the game!

This, along with an improved and more realistic manager mode is the most pleasing news for me. FIFA has always been a pretty joyless affair to me, even when playing with friends. Nine times out of ten when I'd play a friend or my brother on FIFA and one of us scored, the other would usually have something to complain about, whether it be crappy goal keeping, bad defending or the general movement/control of players. It has always lacked moments that warrant genuine gloating/high-fiving/screaming like girls, but it seems there's some actual buzz coming from magazines and gaming sites this time around.

Fingers crossed one of this years football games can replicate the joy we had with PES of old, because there isn't many moments better in gaming than those.

It's only 8-direction while dribbeling! The animations hide it well though! ;o)

During the EA press conference at Gamescom this afternoon a few people got the impression that the Bernabeu stadium which was announced would be premium content - i.e. downloadable content that you pay for.

Producer of FIFA 10 David Rutter has announced on his Twitter page that the Bernabeu stadium will be free for everybody to download. Take a look at the quote below for confirmation!

"Oh yeah. I nearly forgot. We announced the Bernabeu will be DLC (free) in FIFA 10…"

I'm really glad they've added the customisable set pieces...need to have a good muck about with that and tweak things :)

One small thing that REALLY bugged me about online play in fifa is the inability to save a team selection and load it in an online ranked match. IN other words, having to do your team every single game!

on PS3/PSN aswell it's sometimes very hard to get a game, the matchmaking seems a bit poor. There's two players ready to play but for some reason it never properly connects & I end up waiting about 10-15mins for a game.

Yeah I agree with you Gun_Runner, it can get a bit mindless at times, searching for a match and then all you get is the 2 teams which are your fav teams / when you invite a friend into a private match, really takes the piss!
